They are very nice quality, very heavy duty, I had no doubt they would do what I needed them to do. I used them to lift my 460 big block. The price was also very reasonable.

We bought these to lift a 2016 Mercury 4 Stroke a few inches higher on our transom. These are thick, durable, and lifted it without issue. Our engine weighs about 375lbs.

First the hole size is smaller than shown. A 1/2" bolt won't go through. A 7/16" will and maybe a 12mm. I didn't try one. Secondly, the overall length is shorter. This was a more critical dimension for my application. They probably gave the dimension before bending. I can drill out the hole but can't practically make the bracket longer.

I'm a diesel mechanic and just recently used this set to pull a hydrostatic pump drive out of a sprayer. They do work but compared to some of the other lifting brackets I have they're obviously lower quality. The mounting brackets are supposed to have 1/2" holes; only 2 in my set actually did. I had to drill out the other 2 to make them large enough to put the same exact bolts through. They also have a very poor finish. Only one of the rings would make a full rotation through the eye to help line up with pressure; the other 3 had weld build-up in the way that prevented them from sliding through the bracket. So you have to position them where you want them before lifting with them, they won't slide in place to position themselves correctly. Like I said they work but I'll go for something a little better quality next time.
