I got the Pen version and its great! It works like a real pen and comes with replacement ink so people don;t know your recording. I don't record stuff very often without people knowing however, I have found that I like my own recordings of IEP meetings and such. This is SUPER handy for stuff like that. I also find that it makes my life easier to give myself reminders on stuff I can listen to later. Its great for writing. I find when I write stories or things having the recording feature available as I'm talking (to myself) so I can listen to it later is so handy. the sound quality is great and being it comes with playback options that's handy too.

I love everything about! Perfect size and shape! I am currently in a program that’s has lots of memorizing subjects. I read it out lot and record my self. Then I listen to it with this recording device. I highly recommend it!

Product is excellent! Works good clear with purchase again! Best of all you can instantly play it back or upload it if needed quick and easy! It is easy to take out of package and use. And most of all it is discreet and will definitely get your job done.

This tiny box arrived and it weighed a ton... couldn't figure out what I had ordered. Opened this little thing and wow was I ever impressed with how sturdy this is. This was BUILT for being roughed up. It's a solid brick of metal with a long narrow touch screen. I actually dropped it twice and I was more worried about my hardwood floor and desk than I was about this thing.Turning it on, it was pretty easy to get use to. It has a lot of features that I had to look up but it's pretty straight forward. I really wish I had this before my father passed away. We tried taking recordings using our phones of stories and stuff that we wanted the grandkids to hear and it wasn't exactly easy on the phone (without paying for an app), but this thing has a crazy sensitive mic and presets for all sorts of scenarios.I can see how this would be an invaluable tool for a student or even taking with you if you were shopping for something and wanted to capture all what the salesperson was saying. Keep it in your pocked and with a quick press on the side, record what is saying.So we tested two of the more interesting features... what if this was hidden in a bag or something and you wanted to secretly record something. We also wanted to test it's ability to transcribe and do speech to text conversion.Hidden away... it does work. Works great if it's just in your pocket... but buried in the bottom of a handbag with lots of stuff in it... was pretty hard to pick up too much. It could work, but it's certainly not optimal.Transcription... this is REALLY hit or miss. Talk slow and with NO accent and it will be OK but where I live, everyone has a thick accent and this didn't capture 75% of what we were saying. Is that a showstopper? Depends, if that's what you are buying it for... then stay away, but if you want to capture general audio? This will work great... and probably stop a bullet if you needed it to.Pros...- STURDY. You could hurt someone with this.- Easy to use.- Lots of features- Expandable with micro-USB card (it already has 5GB on board and another 64GB micro SD in it. Not sure what the largest size card it will take is.- The perfect addition to any college students toolkitCons...- Transcription is pretty bad, at least for people with accents (as best as I can tell)I really like this... I'll definitely use it from time to time. Or keep it next to the bed in case someone breaks in I can throw this hefty thing at them.

This voice recorder is simply incredible. The large display is smooth, intuitive and incredibly easy to use compared to anything else and the recording quality is nice and clear. The build quality is excellent and feels premium.I really liked the real time STT feature - I love seeing the transcript and find it to be very useful for searchable notes afterwards. Transcription accuracy isn't quite as good as what I have been able to get with my phone but I found it to be good enough when having taking self-memos (as a native speaker): it's good enough to be searchable.It's easy to pull audio off this... but it's also very easy to review my notes on the actual recorder and skip around.

This voice recorder impresses out of the box with its all metal construction and rectangular touch screen.It has several presets to optimize the mics and noise canceling for the type of enviornment you are using it in. The touch screen is fairly intuitive to use and contains a lot of useful tips and instructional info. The recordings and playback quality are quite good. In addition you have physical controls on the sides for quick access to essential features without having to wake or use the touchscreen.A big feature of the unit which is a little disappointing is the “Speech to text abilityâ€. It claims it can do it real time but usually struggles and falls behind with a wait time to finish up after you're done the recording. Not only is it slow but the end result is usually loaded with errors and mistranslation. Unless you're using it close up with very clear speech and no background noise I don’t think it’s accurate enough to be too useful in a lot of situations. It also seems to eat up a lot of battery life when used as well.Included with the device is a 39†charging cable and a 64GB microSD card which is pre-installed. The device also has 8GB of internal memory which is how they get the advertised total of 72GB.Overall despite the Speech to text being a little hit and miss, this is still a very nice recorder with a great interface and features.
