My wife had a dead clock, and I was able to install one of these replacement mechanisms, which has been working perfectly so far. I had to grind away some minor plastic tabs in the original clock base in order to make room for the new mechanism, but it was no big deal. I secured the new mechanism in place with double-sided VHB (very high bond) tape, which was quick and easy, but I'm sure hot glue would've worked just fine, too.The pointer arms are indeed hard to push on. After a few failed attempts to install them, I wound up pressing them on with the wrong side facing out, which was easy to do, then pulled them off. Removing them wound up scraping a small amount of plastic from the clock stems. Then it was easy to put the pointer arms back on in the correct direction. The fit was still snug and I feel confident that the arms will not shift.BTW, I suggest you put all of the arms at exactly the 12 o'clock position first, in order to get everything to line up properly. The mechanism gears have a little bit of slop in them, so I checked alignment by gently bumping each arm in both directions in order to better assess how centered they were, and shifted the arms until everything was symmetrical. The tiny cartoonish pencil arms that the kit comes with wound up fitting perfectly on my wife's clock, and the seconds hand that has a flower is extra cute. My wife loves it! She especially appreciates how silent this mechanism is. It runs smoothly with no annoying clicks.

These are good replacement clockworks for standard types of wall clocks that seem to come with quartz clock movements that fail after a short time.[There's a claim made that the reason so many inexpensive clockwork movements fail is due to the clock mechanisms missing an electrical component that will regulate or reduce the higher battery voltage found in new alkaline batteries. The solution that's recommended is for inexpensive clockworks to be used with non-alkaline batteries. What we now do is use alkaline batteries in our quartz clocks that have been partially discharged after using them in a flashlight or some other device.]We had several wall clocks that became inoperable, and thanks to this seven piece clock movement kit, we replaced four quartz clockworks -- the caveat though, is that the stems of these clock mechanisms that hold the hands are often longer than the original clock movements, and so in three instances of installing the new clock movements, we had to dispense with reinstalling the glass cover on these house clocks, and on one clock movement we put a "spacer" between the new clock mechanism and the back of the clock, which shortened the distance that the clock stem (holding the hands) extended above the clock face. We used hot-melt glue to hold the spacing material to the back of the clock and the same type of glue to fasten the clockworks to the spacer material and it worked well. The collection of seven clock movements has three different stem lengths, and several different styles of clock hands. It's a good kit for all of your quartz clock movement repairs and all the clock movements worked perfectly! So, with a little imagination and some wrangling, you can get all of your inoperative quartz clocks back to work, and while they won't help you save time, at least they'll help you keep it.

I only needed one, but the price was great to get the package to have them on hand. Just be sure to follow directions, I had to take it apart because I didn’t - yet it was my first time replacing one. Simple and works great well, it will next time since I read the instructions!

I had several clocks that stopped working. A few were gifts from organizations that I had donated funds. The clocks stopped working. I liked the cases that the clocks were in. I bought this to see if it would work. It did, very well. They keep great time. It was easy to remove the old clock parts and put these on. They look good, and are dependable. I recommend.

Variadad en manecillas, solo hay que traralas con sumo cuidado para no maltrarlas y doblarlas, las máquinas tienen diferentes tamaños en el tornillo por si el lugar donde lo vas a poner es grueso
