FebSmart FS-U7-Pro is a PCIE X1 interface to 7-Ports superspeed 5Gbps USB 3.0 expansion card. What is FebSmart Self-Powered Technology?
FebSmart Self-Powered Technology is a new solution to add more power supply on USB 3.0 expansion cards. The old version PCI Express USB 3.0 cards need to plug power cables from Desktop PC’s power supply unit. Plug and Play, works perfect. I like the fact that there are 2 ports on the inside that I can use for a cord to go outside my computer and hook up the phone to it for picture imports. No need to use the external one when I can "permanently" have a cord coming from inside to the outside.

I was a little worried about some reviews on Amazon saying that this card melted inside the PC and fried attached devices, about not being able to power off PC and some other concerns. But i really needed clean internal USB hub for all my peripherals, and this one seems to be the best one out there at the moment.It's plug and a play. I installed this card without drivers and Windows 10 recognized it just fine. It powers all my devices, the speed seem to be 3.0 USB. No burning or other problems so far. Pretty happy with the purchase, this is exactly what i needed. Not much to say about this sort of product. It either works the way it should or it doesn't. This one works. It adds plenty of USB ports to a new computer and all the peripherals connected through this card seem to be working fine.

Started having various issues after about 12 months; completely died at about 18 months. Also I've learned that it is better to get a powered card. Cards like this just don't work as well.

I am able to run multiple portable hard drives from one card. Simultaneous file transfers using multiple portable hard drives are fast and flawless. On Windows 10 no additional drivers were needed. On Windows 7 you will want to use the included program to update the drivers. The included software easily updates the drivers on your computer including those for other devices that Windows Update may have missed. In my case Windows 7 drivers for Realtek Audio and Nvidia graphics were also updated.

First of all let me say: It works. Transferred gigabits through it and no noticeable hiccups occurred. W10 found it and loaded the drivers on first boot. Probably would have given it 4 stars had i not had to snip the screw notch so the card could sit properly in the PCI slot. They should probably look at that.
