This is a cute hand size mini rain stick. I used to have a 2.5 long one that would make the rain sound for several seconds. This one is very short so you only get the rain sound for just a second, which is to be expected since this is only like 8 inches long. My children end up using it as a maraca pretty much, but still very enjoyable to shake. Overall well made, but souvenir quality looking. Great little add to our music room.

The only good thing about this "instrument" is that it seems durable. If you are looking for a rattle, this would be similar to that. It has far too little beads inside and far too little obstructions to sound anything like a rainstick. I should have known due to its small size.

This rainstick is very well made, and it has such a great, authentic sound. My kids have a lot of appreciation for musical instruments, so adding this to our collection was definitely a great step. They love playing music with this rainstick incorporated.

This is a nice quality rain stick, but I find it not all that useful. The "rain" sound only lasts a few seconds before it needs to be turned.

Got this as like to collect smaller instruments and this one is fantastically made. The craftmanship really shows on this each and every detail can be seen to have been made with careful technique. The overall appearance is beautiful and the sound it makes sounds like if you did just right it could start to rain. Oh wait looking at the window now its starting the rain!! Oh this thing is amazing.

This is a beautiful rainstick, made of bamboo. It has a nice sound, but it is not long enough for me to consider it a full-on rainstick. As soon as I tip it over, I notice that the rain sound is quite sparse and sounds like a small amount of falling beans instead of "rain." It is a fun toy and fulfills quite a curiosity, but I am unsure if this is the ultimate rainstick. I think getting a larger one would be a better choice. But it is very nice and if you just want something for sound effects, it would get the job done. It is well-made and beautifully painted.
