Maybe I need to supply a picture.. I used this to "scallop" 24 frets on a guitar. The physical work required, was unbeleivably unmateched!! LOL.. Nonetheless this little hand-tool held up well, never bent, consistently carved into the wood, etc. Low price too.

It's a perfectly good rat tail file. Not a lot more to say. A good file at a good price.

I’m using this to cut grooves into a dowel. It works nice. But the birch I’m using it on wants to push the groove to follow the angle of the teeth, so attention to the drift is required. No big deal as it is a slow process to shape the groove. Once the groove is started the file follows it nicely.
