These are a little thinner and larger than the original filter for my inland fume trap that they no longer make filters for. I cut one to size and it works great. I would buy again if need be..

Fits snugly in the Hakko FA400-04 Bench Top ESD-Safe Smoke Absorber. Was concerned that they would cut it too small and allow fumes to go around it. Not the case. Good replacement for original filters.

I got a pack of these filters to use with a fan that I already had that just fits them. The fan stands up with the filter without a base, and pulls in the smoke within about 5 inches of the soldering point. The filter takes out all of the fumes perfectly. I wish I had done this years ago, rather than just having a fan blow the smoke to the side. I have been using it for on and off for several months now without any loss of effectiveness.
