I have been an avid kite flyer most of my life. I didn't know how much I needed this. I didn't know that kite flying could be even more fun and magical than it already was. I bought a less expensive reel and wasn't happy with the quality. I decided to pay a little bit more and get a better reel. This reel was less than twice as expensive but far more than twice as good as the cheaper reel. It is sturdy, well made, well designed, smooth, and easy to use. That thumb brake is a game changer. I absolutely recommend this reel.

I bought this to replace the old string and reel for the kite I had when I was young so my kids could use it. It works great, it's comfortable and easy to use for my 6 year old and for myself. The brake is smooth and easy to use as well as the lock. The reel itself is smooth both letting line out and reeling it back in. I plan on buying a couple more once we get the kids their own kites.

Instructions would have been nice for when you're first securing the kite line, but I figured it out eventually and this thing is great. Love the easy thumb brake and being able to reel in hundreds of feet of line much easier than before. awesome and well worth it for people who enjoy flying kites.

Seems great but don't know where to even tie the string, there's no hole like the other ones I've seen.

I bought this because my hands were too big for the cheaper plastic versions and it's way better. Unfortunately it's just more than what I need so I'm returning it. Also it's not much larger hand size wise all of these type reels seem to be too narrow for my hands. The locking mechanism is dope.

A bit small but not too small. I was most concerned about the lock and it's worked flawlessly the five times I've flown. Better than I expected... I'll probably buy a few more exactly like it.

No, seriously. It doesn't come with string. Kinda expensive when you have to pay just as much for 1000'of string to go with it.Buy one with string save yourself the hassle. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸

I used this product to fly a 9 foot wide kite and it did amazing. So much easier than the garage string it came with. I recommend if you enjoy kites or anything of that nature.
