Good racks, do not rust, you will need shims to make it work on flat crossbars. I made mine out of a few pieces of rubber heating hose.Original black steel racks immediately started to rust. I returned them and purchased the stainless racks instead. I would’ve preferred an all black look, but the stainless looks OK and I don’t have to worry about it ruining my car finish.

Though I did have a problem with rubber gaskets that came with it, they were dried and Brittle and broke up. Contacted vendor and they easily sent me new ones.

The one size fits all mounts aren't as sturdy as I'd like. With some modifications I'm able to use this product with ease and efficiency. I was lucky enough to call the manufacturer prior to ordering the item. He informed me that there are longer bolts they can send to me with a confirmation of their order to help for an easier install. The bolt showed up at the same time and they were definitely needed. The hardware for attaching is slightly cheap with a couple modifications this product is fantastic.

First the rubber protectors are to thin and I scratched my crossbars, second the bottom plastic metal nut keeps coming loose causing the bracket to slide away from the car edge, third the bolts are not long enough for setup, it’s very hard to use these rooftops and I damaged my car for an 1,800 dollar bill. I highly recommend using a better rooftop carrier. I have buyers remorse.

It was a little difficult to put on the knobs that keep it tight, we did have to use some additional tools. But over all good so far

Broke within the first month. You get what you pay for… not the worst but after loading my 12’ Kayak and seeing that the instructions say to run the straps inside my car door…. I could have done that with the roof rack base I already have.Tightened the mounts down but then still are not secure, even with the thin rubber pads they provide. Does not feel safe.

The product description talked about how sturdy this is, which was a leading reason I purchased this over others. However it’s not sturdy at all. Each mounting bracket just has one bolt per side, which is probably a leading issue, but it feels like it is going to break when I load my kayak.

Haven't driven with these yet but they were very easy to put on. Love the fact I can fold them down. A little apprehensive to see how they handle the tension of the cam straps on the plastic pivet point but we'll see.
