I originally bought an Orico USB card but that one was problematic, this one works great and the internally mounted single USB port was wonderful for my Bluetooth USB adapter.NOTE: The usb ports are mounted vertically north-south, not horizontally east-west. They are also positioned very tightly next to one another so if you have any large USB cables, WiFi adapter or such, they many not fit when plugged in alongside other devices. This was to allow for mounting this card in a half height case.Almost all PC cases' PCI slots will be too short to allow a USB cable to be plugged in horizontally this way.If you aren't sure if it will work in your case, take any USB cable and try and insert it between the steel separators of the PCI slot and see if it fits.If it doesn't or is very tight, you will have to get some sort of sanding or grinding tool like a dremel sanding tool, and take out about 1mm to 2mm from the area around the slot where the card needs to fit. I did that with my corsair case and the usb cables were able to fit snuggly.

The adapter installed easily and was immediately recognized by my system. All the ports are accessible by the USB plugs I've tried so far and all accessories have been recognized and function properly.

Quality build card, only time will tell. Windows 10 recognized no problem. There can be an issue with the verticle orientation of USB ports as follows. The verticle height gap for expansion cards is or rather was too narrow on my case. My back plane is removable and I was able to leave cards in place in order to grind about 1/16" on top and bottom of opening on back plane. It was a bit tight due to not getting overly aggressive with angle grinder. I'll try to post some pics showing what I mean.

This product took me a few minutes to install, and I am by no means a professional with computers. There were no external drivers to install once I got it in place, it just worked! I did not need to use any extra power cables, it worked sufficiently using power derived from the PCIe slot, and considering I am actively using all of the slots, I consider this fairly impressive. To address other reviews: all of the slots work on my expansion.

The included instructions were generic, so they just said to go to their website to get the driver. I kept clicking on every link that said "USB," but none of them led to this card's driver. I finally found it under "I/O Cards." Which makes sense, now that I think about, but it is a USB expansion card, after all.Anyway, driver installation wasn't fast, but it worked first time, which isn't always the case with stuff like this. The card has a SATA 15-pin power connector, just like a hard drive. It will work without it if you plug in stuff that doesn't require power (like external hard drives with their own power supply), but if you want 5V at 2A at those ports, you'll need that cable.Performance-wise, it's great. It outperforms the motherboard USB 3.0 ports, which I don't quite understand. But since the motherboard only has three blue connectors on it, I wanted more anyway. I checked out the layout and components quality, and was suitably impressed. It looks like they did everything right (I've designed lots of high-speed data hardware over the years).I've had zero problems with the OS recognizing something has been plugged it to one of those ports. There are 7 ports total: 6 facing out the back and one facing in toward the chassis. The external ports are oriented such that a Type A connector has to fit sideways through the slot opening in the chassis. Fortunately that wasn't an issue for me, but you'll want to check first. The plastic part doesn't need to fit; just the metal shell.Bottom line: 5-stars for performance, minus one for poor documentation.

Went through two other (cheaper) brands before Ableconn and both had issues (one had random disk errors and the other was randomly dropping drives). All ports populated with external hard drives. These WORK PERFECTLY, not a single issue (Windows Server 2022 [Windows 10 code base]). These are the ones you want.

Easy to install and really adds a LOT of USB ports to my computer (seems like these days one never has enough USB ports). Would recommend this add-on card to anyone looking to expand.
