Tool will work, but only if you can get two hands on it, have hands like a gorilla, with the work at waist level and on a cloudless sunny day.Any work off-axis will be difficult if not impossible.Better than zero, but not by much.

This seems like a good quality product but was unable to use it as it didn’t not work for the application it was intended to be used for. The pliers themselves are only useful in a specific angle.

the spikes that actually clamp down the other end will dig into what your trying to clamp in place. Just badly engineered. Should be outwards. This will make a mess of what your trying to do.
