My grill started out by taking two start up cycles to work. Then it stopped working and I had to use a lighter to start it. Since I previously upgraded to controller, fan, and auger motor, I determined it was probably try he igniter. Took about 10 minutes to replace. Grill fired right up. Gets to temp a lot quicker.

This igniter rod looks great and I am very happy to have it. Within my family we have a lot of pellet grills and usually I am the one called when there is a problem and these are one of the more common failures I see. This one looks like a perfect replacement for my Pit Boss so I will be ready to light up and grill again. I checked it and it shows 72 ohms which is well within the expected range. Visually it looks fine and like a quality made device but only time and use will prove out its durability and feel this igniter was a good value for the price at the time I ordered it.

My Traeger -075 is 20+ years old and I’ve had my share of “hot rod igniter†failures. It’s great to have a spare igniter hot rod in case of a failure. These are easy to replace and I would encourage you to keep a spare if you have a pellet grill…

Used this to replace fire rod in Cam chef pellet grill. Was easy to remove old one and then route this one back in place. Plugged it back in like old one, put bottom panel back on and then tested it out. Fire rod glowed and lit pellets just as good as old oem one. Happy to be back smoking some ribs and pork butt in less than 45 minutes total. Think you could actually change this is 30 minutes or less if you watched a video first maybe.

Did maintenance on my pellet grill and this was one of the pieces that I needed to replace after a few years of use. after putting this in it seemed a little long but I adjusted it to fit and it works great. Recommend this item as a valid replacement.

I was worried initially that this would be a big pain in the rear to install, but I didn't have to empty my hopper or disassemble much of the smoker (Camp Chef). I removed the bottom cover below the control panel and disconnected the plug, removed the four 1/4" nuts holding down the burn-cup and lifted it out. I did tie a string to the plug so that when I pulled the old one out, it drew the string in to make it easy to get the new wire run down the same channel. The entire replacement was under 30 minutes and now my smoker starts right up like it should!

I'm very impressed with this igniter replacement! The installation was incredibly simple – truly a plug-and-play experience. I followed the suggestion to set the igniter about 1/8-1/4 inch into the burn pot, and it worked perfectly with my Pit Boss smoker. No tools or professional help were needed, and I had my grill up and running in no time. This product is a hassle-free solution and a must-have for anyone looking to replace their pellet grill igniter. Highly recommend!"
