I use this for monitoring a small on grid solar panel setup and it seems to work great. It measures power in either direction (either consuming or producing) and you can use the app both at home or away to monitor it.

I bet if you used it more often it wouldn't be a pain point, but there is a button you have to press to activate the relay to enable the outlet. Its an unlabeled multi function button and if you press the wrong one or press it the wrong way, you'll find yourself having to change settings or reconfigure the display. Itd be nice if you could just plug stuff in and it worked

Bought this to track me central dehumidifier which is plugged into 20 amp plug. As soon as the appliance goes on it clicks off. To heavy of a load

I needed a remote power monitor for a commercial dehumidifier in an upstairs space. Set-up was easy but note the US model uses US currency not Yuan as shown on the unit. Connectivity is excellent. The Smart Life app works well. I have no need for the cloud storage and the notifications but basic functionality is not compromised without it.Bought it in May it died in August. First the temp sensor failed. Then it intermittently turned off the load then it failed completely. This is not suitable for loads with high starting current.

Strong Points:WIFI is good.Long wire for temp probe.Internal relay for the load.Includes short extension power cable.Logs dataWeak Points:The phone app display updates only every 60 seconds. Can be changed to as low as 1 second but the change does not stick.The relay can be turned off but the power and current show unchanged values in the App, the voltage and temperature continue to update. Attached photo of phone app shows switch is off but power and current are not showing zero. Photo of the display shows switch is off with voltage an power at zero. Other times it updates correctly.No easy way to delete accumulated data. When I move it do a different device I would like to reset these values easily.The red watts reading is washed out when sunlight is shining on the display.

Working well so far. Using to remotely monitor current draw on a power strip for a grow tent. Have various smart items from geeni and shows up and is controllable through the geeni app so no need for me to download a separate app.

This is actually supposed to be a wifi thermostat for a heater or air conditioner (for example, one of those wall mounted retrofit AC units that are common in Asia) to help you ensure that you’re not running up your power bill too high with such power-hungry appliances. It’s another power measurement and control product from Atorch who makes a lot of inexpensive products of this sort.It does what it’s supposed to and seems to work pretty well, I’d just rather spend less money and get only a wifi-connected meter without the thermostat control. This one also acts as a remote switch similar to other “smart plug†modules.WiFi-connected meters like this are useful when you want to place one in a difficult to access area, so I’m surprised they aren’t more common.
