We have not used this product yet ,,,my husband will use them to put under a table to keep the table from moving away from the extension leaf in the table. We know they will work for what we intend to use them for.

I love the ease and sturdiness of these latches. I bought them to use in making a flip top table for my drill press. Many people use window sashes or door latches to secure their table tops, but these are far more sturdy and have the added advantage of being adjustable, making them easier to install. VERY secure latching and you can tighten them when/if wood shifts over time.

I wanted to write a review just to let others know the lock hole size is just shy of 1/4" / 6mm. So if you buy a lock, that's what you need to know for those. I had to drill out a hole to be a bit bigger for the battery compartment on my boat and can say the metal used is definitely hardened / quality steel since it took me a long time to bore it out to be bigger. I'm really impressed by these and would buy again.
