I use this with my Tormach mill and have found it to be extremely handy! The repeatability is extremely good and when checking on my surface plate against some 123 blocks and a machinists square it has held its 2.000" measurement very well without once needing to be reset/re-calibrated. I was skeptical but have been very happy with it!

Works as advertised. I find it more trustworthy than the electronic z axis setter I had been using.

took apart and cleaned, changed the spring to lower pressure, use on top of 123 block because the bottom is al. faster and more accurate than paper. not as accurate as gage block touch off.

Great for the price. It’s not coolant proof. And has very little travel before it’s maxed out and broke.

I wish this was 4" but that's an easy work around. It's just a fancy indicator setup but it does the job well. Smooth action.
