I have found this to work very well so far. Although I cannot figure out how to assemble the tool with the protective plastic cover i have had good results using it without the cover. The instructions could have been a little clearer on the assembly.

I ordered this for my Dad, he said it is the most accurate way to measure bore and be confident that it is a correct reading. Far better than a telescoping T-gauge.

Do not like the accuracy of the extensions at all. The dial must be set after changing each extension or your measurements will be more then .02 off. Witch seems like way too much to me. If you set the dial up you should be able to just add extensions and check for accuracy and make small adjustments not .02 difference thats alot. Might want to spend the extra money and get something thats alot better. If you are using it for the same size over and over then it will do fine. However this is my 1st bore Guage so what do I know. I do know that with my lathe I can make new extensions that I can change without having to move Guage. Sad because I love accusize witch is why I went with this brand. Was hoping for the best.

I only needed this for one job so I didn't want to buy an expensive unit, but I am more than happy with the quality of it. Checked the accuracy of this with a mitutoyo micrometer and found it to be very good.

I have bought a few accusize tools in the past which have been good. This tool seems to be a lot cheaper. There was burrs in the adaptors not allowing them to fit properly. The dial also reads backwards. The larger the bore the smaller the numbers go, very weird. Bit at the end of the day it measures and seems to give consistent results.

My kit is missing one of the extentions and two pairs of extentions are the exact same size.
