Acer makes adapters better than they make computers.This is sleek enough to keep stashed in your kit on the off chance that you come across an older monitor without Displayport or HDMI support, and you have showed up with your new, fancy laptop. I keep a throwback 11" monitor in my bag that is VGA only, so this comes in handy when dealing with a headless server with USB-C ports (since they typically do NOT have VGA ports).

We recently upgraded to a new Mac mini computer, and needed an adapter for the link to the older monitor. This adapter was just what we needed. Many computers recently have gone over to Type "C" plugs and not so much the USB type, and this one is just what we needed.

I needed a second monitor to connect to my Dell laptop and this adapter worked great, just plug and play. I had previously bought a USB to DB9 connector, but didn't work.Thanks

The expected high Acer quality at a good price. Lightweight and very compact - See photo comparison with typical adapter from other brand. Convenient size when you have too many bulky peripherals to carry around. Data transmission is great for both movies and slides. I used a Macbook Pro connected to a projector using VGA cable- for some reason the HDMI connection on the old projectors is often incompatible with Macbook. The Acer's compact size means it doesn't have screw holes on either side of the port, as other reviews have also mentioned. But this is not a problem, the fit is very good without them- You just need to turn out the screws on the VGA cable to if they are in the way.

this is fine and works well as a VGA adapter. It advertizes has not have screws on the side which is fine if you aren't moving the cord much. I prefer screws to keep it in place

This is a useful adapter when connecting a laptop that can use a USB-C port to output to another monitor. I was using an older monitor that didn't have HDMI or Displayport, and only the VGA connector could be used. This Acer adapter worked great, and the duplicating my desktop onto the extra monitor happened instantly.I also connected it to my Samsung phone, and I was immediately able to have the Samsung Dex screen pop up on my monitor. A useful function if you have an old monitor and want to use your phone like a computer.

Ich brauchte den Adapter, um meinen älteren Beamer an mein neues Notebook anzuschließen. Ich wollte keinen ganzen Hub mit noch weiteren Anschlüssen, sondern nur ein kleines Kabel, das ich mit dem Beamer auch problemlos wegpacken kann.Was soll ich sagen, der Adapter funktioniert einwandfrei und wirkt zudem hochwertig verarbeitet.Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, dass man die Halteschrauben aus dem VGA Stecker, hier nicht verschrauben kann. Für meine gelegentliche Nutzung brauche ich das aber auch nicht.Der Preis von (derzeit) rd. 11 € ist auch ok, insofern verdiente 5 Sterne und Kaufempfehlung.

I’ve got an old monitor that is laying about without use because i have no way of plugging it into my laptop, but this adapter has come in very handy, the monitor i use is VGA and i just say it’s very simple to use with the adapter, quick plug and play feel and does not impact picture quality.
