So far, so good! It lets present with different types of inputs with a clear image.

Ordered for a laptop that seems to have its hdmi video connector failed, no way to fix but this laptop does have usb-c... this is a great fix as usb-c allows video transmissions. This adapter worked right out of the box, with no drivers required. I tested both hdmi and vga connections and both worked flawlessly.

I'm the "IT guy" at my work, and these types of adapters always seem to go missing and I've started buying them in bulk. I've ordered about half a dozen of these and so far they've all worked with our Apple computers of varying types and ages (Intel or M1, MacBook, iMac, & Mac Mini).I've never tried them on a 4k screen, and never tried using both outputs at the same time, but they've had no problem providing a solid connection via HDMI or VGA to our various projectors and screens all the way from 800x600 (VGA projector) to 1440p desktop monitors.

This does not work with my Lenovo 920 and a Dell E2311H display via the VGA port. The PC never recognizes the external display and the display, sensing no PC, goes into sleep mode. I've tried all combinations of display detection and order of pulling it in, waking up the display, etc. Nothing works.UPDATE 11/26/17 - WORKAROUND FOUND:After several frustrating days trying to make this work I found a few things that might be helpful:1) A LOT of people are having major problems making their Lenovo Yoga 920s work with external monitors via wide variety of adapters, including Lenovo's own adapters. Search for "Yoga 920 USB-C to HDMI not working" on Lenovo's forums and you'll see what I mean.2) After much experimentation, other Yoga 920 owners identified a limited workaround that will enable a USB-C adapter to work with the Yoga 920. This works with this CableCreation adapter also. Plug-n-play with the Yoga 920 does NOT work at this time, however. The work around requires removing the adapter, shutting down the PC, plugging in the adapter and monitor and waking the monitor, then booting up the PC (and crossing your fingers). If you're lucky it works. This seems to be an Intel/Microsoft/Lenovo problem vs. the adapter so I'm revising my review upwards.UPDATE 1/5/2018 - Yoga 920 Issues Fixed by LenovoAfter a month of Yoga 920 owners requesting investigation into the USB-C display issues on the Yoga, Lenovo responded to acknowledge a software issue and subsequently followed up with a firmware patch (available via the Lenovo Vantage app, which is on the Microsoft Store if it's not already on your Yoga). I updated the USB-C firmware for my Yoga 920 today and I'm happy to report this adapter now works flawlessly!Updating my review to 5-stars.

It works wonderfully for both HDMI and VGA output. I've been using this on my Lenovo Yoga 7i which does not have ports for HDMI or VGA output and this little adapter has been extremely helpful when hooking up to projectors in the classroom. It is very lightweight which some may equate to cheap build quality. However, it has held up nicely and has worked perfectly every time.

Works exactly as expected. I've used both the VGA and HDMI ports without any problems. It's a tiny bit fiddly on the USB-C end if you pull on it when it's plugged in, but honestly, I have that problem with all my USB-C connections. Don't move your computer once you have it plugged in and you'll have no problems. Considering Apple charges 80 US dollars for the same device, this is a steal. Really solid performance, plug and play with current version of Windows. For the money, this is what you need. I've hooked this up to projectors and second monitors with no issue.

This product functions well. Technically, great. Customer service, no problem. I did end up returning it though. They clearly tried to explain the functionality on the listing, but it was still an unclear explanation of it's capabilities, as I thought it could do what I wanted, but could not.I wanted to have a dual (extended) monitor setup from a laptop, 2 displays, one that mirrors the laptop screen, and one the extends it. The intention was to keep the laptop closed and use this adapter as the primary and secondary screen. The device only allows the two screens that are plugged into the adapter to display the same image. So in a sense, I had an extended display, but it was the 12 inch laptop as Monitor 1, and the two monitors both serving as Monitor 2, displaying the same thing. So I'm giving 3 stars only because it didn't achieve what I perceived the description to say what it could so, the 3 star rating is based on the description, not the quality of the product. All signs point to good quality there.

1. Old monitors with resolution of 1366x768 is also supported with VGA port.2. HDMI also supports HiDPI feature.3. Build quality is also very good, feels premium4. Worth the price (1999)

I was scheduled to give a presentation to a local science group, and needed to ensure that I could connect my laptop to the projector which I knew the group used. This seemed to be just what was needed – as, indeed, it proved to be.It was easy to connect up, and did the job just as well as I’d hoped it would. Very pleased with it.
