This was easy to put up, but if you are planning to mount it on the short side of a 2x4 (fence stud or similar) it will not fit due to screw holes being too far apart. However, if you are mounting it lengthwise, it works quite well. It's super sturdy and comes with the screws needed for mounting.

My husband made a 12 foot high bird feeder pole to hold all of my bird feeders but the bear could still reach them and rip them down so i needed to use something to hang my birdfeeders high enough that the bears would leave them alone. Thats where these come in. Attach them to the top of the pole and it raises the feeders high enough that the bears cant reach. So far so good. They are strong enough to hold a 5 pound bird feeder and high enough that the bear cannot reach them. Win win situation for all involved.

We have a wooden post in our front yard that we attached this to the side and then hung our bird bath. Works great and would highly recommend!

More vertical loft than horizontal but good enough. Haven’t had long enough to observe paint flaking as at least one person here noted. Most of the complaints are about the clamp, not the screwed version which is the one I got.

We used this bracket to mount a large, heavy bird feeder. We mounted it on a pressure-treated 2x2 with a concrete base. I originally used the provided 1" wood screws (BTW, the provided screws are stainless steel - kudos for that!) but I was concerned they might work loose with the feeder rocking a bit in the wind. So I replaced them with two 2" #8 stainless steel machine bolts with washer, lock washer and nut on the back of the 2x2. This is totally secure and only the feeder will need to be taken down for the next hurricane that visits.A note about the arm itself. It is wrought iron and has a very nice powder coat finish. Hopefully that will keep it rust free for quite some time but even if it develops some surface rust, it's quite thick and should last many years.

Nice solid short pole for my application. Was able to hang a large birdfeeder on it no problem.

Just what I needed. Super sturdy with thick solid metal. Doesn’t move and/bend. Easy to place.

We got this to mount on the back rail of our deck so that we could see birds using the feeder from indoors. It works well for this purpose, but only with a squat feeder. The angle only gives about a 12" of lift above the deck rail, so the view of a longer feeder or one with a long chain would be obstructed. We keep a suet cage on it, which is the perfect size. Will switch to a hummingbird feeder in summer.

The arm is heavy and thick and will support your bird feeder without problem. I suggest using longer conscruction screws to fix it though, because the screws they provide are small and look cheap.

Only flaw on this, is it comes with two very short screws. Feels like my bird house one day might take it out of the railing, but only time will tell. So far so good, and birds can now access both sides of the feeder.

The 45-degree wall mount bracket works perfect for hanging my glass humming bird feeder. The bracket is very sturdy.
