It doesn't project anything on to your windshield, therefore not a HUD. Too bad I threw away the manual and box. I wished I would have returned it. Whoop whoop

"It doesn't display anything on the windshield, so it's not a HUD".HUD= Heads Up DisplayNowhere in the definition, in the context HUD is being used, does it say anything about 'projecting onto the windshield'. Put this thing on your dashboard. Plug it in. Tweak the settings and set the time. Place in front of your face on your dashboard. You lift your HEAD UP and see a DISPLAY. HEADS UP DISPLAY.Know what you're buying and don't blame/penalize the manufacturer/seller for your ignorance. You misread the description... you expected a projection'type HUD... you rate poorly because you MISUNDERSTOOD what you were buying.I realize some just cannot accept responsibility for their own mistakes. This thing doesn't deserve the 1-star review the other douchebag left...Simple and effective way of displaying your speed (mph/kph). Nothing wrong with it that I can tell. What do you want for an aftermarket HUD at this low price-point. If you want a REAL hud that displays like on TV and in the movies... go by a newer can that comes with one built in.Can't afford a whole new luxury car? Use this thing. That's about all I have to say about that.
