Had a Hayward 1.5 hp. Changed to 2 hp power and much more flow than the old one. It is quite and easy to install. A new Hayward pump was $1400. So how can you go wrong.

DO NOT BUY!! WARNING!!What a giant piece of junk. After installing it, initially it works great. However, I have now owned it for about a month and a half and it no longer pumps any water. You can hear the motor running; the pump head is extremely noisy as it struggles to try and move any water at all, there is zero pressure measuring at the filter and no suction from the skimmer box.For what it is worth, while the manufacturer warranty is supposed to be 2 years, I contacted Amazon and they said that I need to directly communicate with the manufacturer. That would be fine, but I can not find an email for the manufacturer, even the Amazon representative could not find an email for them either. BTW I purchased the "ASURION 4 Year Home Improvement Protection Plan ($200 - $249.99)" figuring that this would cover me if anything like this were to happen to this product. In talking with the Amazon representative, it seems that this policy is almost completely worthless, only covering the cost difference from what the manufacturer will pay and actual repair costs. I don't think there is any repair that would work for this product, and it just seems like a poorly made/designed/manufactured product.Huge lesson learned here, deal with a local pool shop/supplier who will stand behind their products etc. At least if you buy it locally you can go and confront an actual person face to face! They are probably less likely to hide behind company policy, and endless email chains, protocol, and general tomfoolery.Once again, I can not state strongly enough DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! EVER!!

Installed this pump today. NOT a direct placement for me. This pump is much smaller so I had to create a platform that is at least 3" higher to get the intake to line up. With this difference had to completely re-work all plumbing. The wort part is the provided wire. The Gauge is much smaller than I would expect compared to my previous installation. Splicing did not work with provided crimp bullets. After getting some that will accommodate both wire sizes; I was able to pull the splice area into the weather proof jacket leading to my pool switch. The pump runs well and moves more water than the one I had before so looking forward to how it holds up.

This pump was easy to install. It has plenty of power and is very quiet.

i agree with what one of the reviewers said down below:Here's what I like:• Has two drain ports. One for the strainer basket and the other for the impeller.• Comes with glue-type plumbing adapters.• Deep filter basket.• Mounting plate has holes for securing it to your equipment pad.• Dry electrical box can be accessed if you need to connect it to existing wiring.• Grounding lug.• Fan-cooled motor.• Motor housing has cooling fins for extra heat dissipation.• Self-priming.• Lid spanner for easy opening of the basket lid.• Two-year warranty• Use for In-ground and above-ground pools, Hot tubs, and the like.• Thermal overload protection. If the pump runs dry, it will shut off.make sure you keep it shaded and have something it can sit on because it is slightly smaller than other pumps.

RUNS VERY QUIETLY. IT SEEMS TO WORK VERY WELL. IT WAS JUST INSTALLED TODAY SO THAT'S ABOUT ALL I CAN SAY EXCEPT THAT MY ELECTRICIAN WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE MOTOR, SO I AM HAPPY!

Bought this in August of 2023, easy to hook up. But it ends there. Now in order to get it to turn on, I’m forced to tap the back and sides with a hammer to get it to turn on!! You can hear it humming but won’t start! So tapping it with a hammer while it’s humming usually turns it on!!

This Acquaer 2 HP 220V Pool Pump is an economical option for a replacement pool pump. I’ll start by pointing out that this 2HP pump is easily at the top of my recommended pool pumps list for the money. It is well-made and does what you expect a pool pump to do. Installation was straightforward. Using the adapters that came with the pump, I got it up and running in about 40 minutes. Noise-wise, the pump is like the other 2 HP pumps I’ve reviewed. If you’re replacing a pump with less horsepower, it will be louder than what you were using. The pump provides a strong flow. I do not have a way to test the flow, but it’s close to what’s advertised. I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that your pool's plumbing directly influences water flow, and, as you know, not all swimming pools are the same.Here's what I like:• Has two drain ports. This pump has met my expectations. It would have exceeded them if it weren’t for the two items that I didn’t like. To receive a five-star review, an Item must have exceeded my expectations, and this pump was close. If I could give it a half star, I would give it four and a half. But I cannot, so four stars it is.
