not perfect but beats chasing a circuit board around the bench during a build.

I’m not one to review a product but after this order came. I started to put together. The screws are same size as the holes they go into. So no way are these getting tight. And the plastic screws are stripped out to tighten the vise down are stripped open touching. Will have to look for another product to replace this junk. I would give this a no star if I could. One star is too much for it.

I wanted a PCB holder that allowed quick, easy access to both sides of a PCB, and this fit the bill. One side of the PCB holder grips is spring loaded, so you can easily remove and/or swap out similar sized PCBs without dealing with screw adjustment. However, right out of the box one of the PCB holder legs that attaches to the spreader bar/base has a stripped screw hole. It's a simple enough fix to drill a new hole and thread it, but I shouldn't have to. Also, all thumb screws are plastic, so I wouldn't use them to thread a new hole if you have to.It works well enough to hold small PCBs, but for a bit more in added production cost, it could be so much better. At minimum, metal threaded inserts for all the screws would be nice. Then you wouldn't worry about stripping plastic threads. At least the 3 base legs are steel, so magnetic alligator clips / helping hands attach easily and provide additional functionality. A bit of added weight to stabilize the base would also be helpful. It's useable for the hobbyist, but you'll want something a bit more substantial if you'll be using this frequently. Would be 4 stars if not for the stripped screw hole.
