We got a Fangor projector here on Amazon (which is great BTW!), but the projector only has one hole in the middle to mount it, not the four screw holes as pictured on this mount. So, we were able to screw one of the brackets that came with this mount into the middle of the projector and then went to Home Depot and got a few rubber washers to help stabilize the projector and it works great. The directions leave a lot to be desired but all in all, the mount is sturdy, and it's white so it blends in with the ceiling on our outdoor patio. I'm hoping the paint holds up over time for outdoor use, I'll update my review if it does end up rusting.

My projector is not that old and it was very hard to make it work. I needed to invent different hardware. It only comes with cement anchors not drywall or ceiling. Luckily, my husband is very handy and made it work.

I'll start by saying that the installation was pretty easy, and the mount seems like it'll work pretty well. With that being said, it's not perfect. And required some minor modifications and installation adjustmentsThe biggest issue I found is that it definitely doesn't have the advertised 360* swivel action. In reality, there's basically no swivel if installed as outlined in the instructions. Fortunately, the solution is pretty simple. Just remove one of the two bolts that comes installed in Pan & Tilt component that attaches to the mounting plate (see picture). It'll still be plenty strong with only one bolt installed, and will then allow you to easily swivel/rotate the projector from side to side. A nice bonus is that it frees up an additional M5 bolt (which will come in handy later).Another minor issue I found was that the included hardware to mount the bracket to your projector was insufficient. They specifically include m3 and m4 bolts for mounting the bracket. But many projectors use an M5 thread pattern. Fortunately, there were a couple extra M5 bolts. And by choosing to install only one M5 bolt in the pitch holes (also pictured). And by removing the above mentioned M5 bolt to allow for swiveling the projector. There were just enough M5 bolts left for the bracket to projector mount.Other than that, everything went together pretty easily. My projector's footprint is a little smaller. So I had to swap in the two included Small Plates into the bracket. I also didn't use the included expansion bolts (anchors), as I was able to secure the mounting plate directly to a solid wood surface. However, to do this the holes in the mounting plate weren't ideal. So I drilled a couple new ones on each side. In doing so, the metal seemed pretty soft. But should still be good enough for this application.Overall, it's a pretty good value. And may work just fine for folks without any modification or installation adjustments. Once installed, it's fairly sturdy, even though the metal seems to be a little soft.Giving it 3 stars because if installed as instructed, the advertised 360* degree swivel functionality is non-existent. And while this was an easy fix, the claim of 360* swiveling was not at all accurate.

Like others have stated the instructions are completely unhelpful. The installation process is unnecessarily complicated and comes with many confusing and unneeded things. It also doesn’t come with any way to just mount it with the middle screw mount that most projectors have for a standard mounting. Many screws that are supposed to fit just simply don't and thats after reading the instructions numerous times to verify they're the correct ones. I chose this one because it was white and wouldn't stand out in my living room but now I'm regretting that decision after trying and failing to install this mount for the last 40 minutes as a moderately handy person.

We didn't need the extension but I wanted the universal because we may install elsewhere later. It came with some serious concrete anchors but nothing for drywall. Definitely dry fit everything because there's a lot of transferring and we almost installed several things backward (we were drinking though so it may be us). We really like that the assembly on the projector hooks on to hold the projector so you can then play with the gimble adjustments.
