AgraTronix Portable Coffee Tester is calibrated to provide precise moisture results for parchment and green coffee. It is a portable moisture testing equipment that can be operated anywhere and at any time. The coffee humidity meter has a back lit, multilingual display that provides accurate readings. It can work in either basic mode or advanced precision calibration mode to match the local elevator.
The portable coffee moisture tester can be used with multiple sets of grain scales. It operates well in moisture range: 7% to 40% for green coffee, 8% to 40% for parchment coffee and 4% to 20% cocoa. It provides accurate readings in normal moisture range for the stored grains.

I wanted a better way than guessing to check moisture content of the cacao beans I'm drying. A friend introduced me to this tester, and I had to have one. It is awesome! It requires two 9V batteries (not included) but it's so easy to use, and gives fast results. Just open the testing chamber, pour in a bunch of beans, screw down the lid, then turn it on and press the Test button. The included instructions are mostly pretty good, but can be a bit difficult to interpret for someone new to the field.One caveat: you will have to screw down the lid harder than you would think necessary in order to get the metal button to rise to flush with the plastic cap (per instructions). The button plunger is kind of stiff.Also, customer support was responsive and proactive. I emailed a question about operating, they responded within a few days with an offer to replace anything that was not right. Fortunately my question was simple, no replacements necessary, my tester is still working just fine.My neighbor across the road (who wrote a very nice book about small scale cacao production) is now totally jealous. Maybe I will get one for her, for all the help she's given me to get started making chocolate.

No issues with the function of the device. The online manual is easy to understand and makes the device simple. The only drawback is the two 9V batteries required to power the device. It’s frustrating having to purchase specific batteries for one device in the office.

Nice product, a little bit more on the paper to avoid moving on the box would be nice.
