I did a lot of research on different pool robots, and I found this to be the most practical for my type of pool. I have an inground concrete pool (28' x 15') with a gradual slope to the middle (4' deep on each end, 5' in the middle) and a pebble tec surface. We had a pool cleaner with paddles and all it did was leave wheel tracks in the dust and dealing with the hose was annoying. We live in AZ where it is super dusty and stuff flies into the pool from neighborhood trees. I really wanted a cleaner that had a brush on the bottom and great suction that would not get hung up on the floor drains (there are 2 drains that are probably 1"H and 7" diameter) or flip over unexpectedly. It does take 6 hours to charge but I can usually plan when I need it. I had read other reviews where some people charged it half the time and then ran it, I haven't tried that. It runs for about 80 minutes on a full charge. I submerge it in the water while holding onto the rope, then turn it on, and lower it to the bottom. It takes off and does its job. I've used it weekly since March and no complaints. It picks up sand, pebbles, (we just had an acid wash done and didn't realize how many loose pebbles were on the bottom till I ran it) leaves, tree needles, seeds, etc. As for picking up dust, it picks it up but it does get out.Initially, I had some struggles with the right cleaning setting, but I have it to where it does a fantastic job. For my rectangle pool, using the setting of 0 on one end and 20 on the other, the robot was not covering all of the areas. Seems like the reason was because it could roll up the sides slightly and the water would get under it and sweep it in a different direction causing it to go over the same area for like 15 minutes. I changed the setting to what is used for oval pools (20 degrees left on one end and 20 degrees right on the other end) and now it covers all areas. So far, very happy with this and no complaints. I love this thing, worth the money for the convenience that it offers.

This is a huge warning to anyone considering buying this product. I bought this unit July 8th 2022. I was very happy with it for the first partial summer we used it. We put it up for the winter/spring, in about October, so use it for about 3 months in 2022. When we opened our pool again for 2023 in about May the unit was again doing well, until about Late June. This is when one of the prongs on top that go into the plug for charging broke off. With less than 6 months use this should not have happened. I immediately reached out to Aiper through Amazon and asked for a replacement part. I was told that they no longer make this unit and therefore had no replacement part for this. They instead offered to send me a new unit that was a different model. I agreed and thought that was a great resolution… until the new unit came. This replacement was a tiny machine, half the size and one tenth the power of the original. It won’t even make it from the deep end back to the shallow end. I emailed again, letting them know this was unacceptable. Every email is met with a generic “please allow up to 72 hours for a responseâ€. And 3 days later I would get a brief 1-2 sentence reply. They offered me a half refund. I said that was not acceptable as I could not replace my unit for that. I emailed back and forth with them, waiting 2-3 days after each email for a response. After weeks of fighting with them, I finally agreed to take the 1/2 refund as I was making no headway. By this point it was July 12th, a month or more since we started trying to resolve this issue. Upon receiving my email to accept 1/2 the refund, they promptly replied that because I was now past the 1 year warranty time, no refund would be offered. I am appalled. I would run, don’t walk from this company! From what I can gather it is all made and handled in the Philippines or somewhere similar. They don’t give a crap about taking care of their customers. You have been warned.

This machine does exactly what is says it doesThe suction is great but if you have a lot of dirt you might need to run it twice to catch everythingBecause if it’s shape it can not go into corners (but I think this is obvious)Also because of the incline in my pool sometime the robot has hard time coming back into the shallow after being in the deep end ESPECIALLY if it is not fully chargedI do not have experience with the cheaper models but I am happy with this robot
