Without proper maintenance grease will build up internally within your microwave/range hood. Causing unwanted smells as well as damage to your motor, fan, and exhaust system. The grease build up is also hazardous due to the high possibility of a grease fire.
FILTER CAPTURES GREASE
Grease filters are designed to capture grease prior to entering the microwave/range hood protecting your system with the multilayers of aluminum mesh.
WASH & REUSE
To maintain your filter soak the filter in warm water utilizing a degreasing dish washing soap, a light bristle brush followed by rinsing thoroughly.

More filter material than the original filters that came with my microwave. Only problem was that one of the new filters had the little handle break during installation.

I needed 2 and was glad to find a reasonably priced 2-pack here on Amazon! For some reason I couldn’t find this in store anywhere (Walmart or Home Depot). Doing its job and I’m satisfied.

I cook a lot and these little filters get so gross. I am not so good at remembering to take them out and wash them every so often so when i do take them out they are sticky and gross. I took out my old ones and tried to soak them and they did get a little better but not great. So i decided to get a back up set so when i am cleaning one set i have another to put in. These went in no problem. I like that they are a little sturdier than my original ones. My original ones you can basically see through and these you really can't. After soaking the original filters i put them on the top rack of the dishwasher and they came out really good. So i will be doing that with these ones as well. I am very happy with this purchase. They are 5 x 7 5/8. They fit a kenmore over the range microwave. And there are 2 filter that would need to be replaced.

Item is actually better constructed than the original grease filters. Much thicker mesh. Popped in with ease. Very happy with the purchase.Ordered and received shipping notice within an hour. Delivery was on a weekend several days ahead of schedule.
