It provides fairly good precision for cutting. However, the locking nuts are a little too difficult to use. They tend to become lose and require hard tightening.

this is a great idea however the construction of the item is not of great quality. The thumb knobs do not hold so that a transfer can be made quickly. Works if you take your time and screw the thumb knobs down very tight.
