Bought this motor for my fridge the fan wasn’t running when the door was open or closed. I installled the fan motor took me about 1.5-2 hrs. After install plugged in the fridge and immediately started. Many review say it makes noise but mine runs smooth just like the oem one. Even if it takes 4 years to replace I feel that the price beats the oem part. Just becuase GE wanted 120 dollars for this part that broke in 10 years. Only time will tell how long it last. It seems good quality.

Lots of work to get to the fan, but everything fell in place and three months later, it’s still working great!

I bought another combined component package and it required me to splice the sensor in. This fan motor and harness had the sensor hardwired with in the harness. When splicing sensors they can increase resistance and cause a malfunction. So, if it that little white sensor is bad just order the motor and get the complete harness and you get the sensor.

Yep, it fits perfectly. The harness was a bit hard to push on, but did have a positive snap when it was engaged. This is my second replacement of this particular part in my fridge. To be fair, it is not the same seller as 4 years ago, but the picture, and the label on the part are identical. Either way, the price, last time 16.86, this time 17.77, beyond beats the OEM part price of 159.90. Could replace many times over for that cost.The part itself was easy to install, just be patient and remove everything starting with the ice maker and work your way down. Yes you can get away without removing a few parts, but it is much faster, and many less swear words, if you do. If you are broad shouldered like I am, you may want to employ the assistance of a kid at times if you can. It is also a good learning experience for them! Teach them how to repair young, and groom a better adult.All in all a great value for what it is.

I had a problem with my ge side by side refrigerator where the power to the entire unit was cycling on and off. You’d hear a relay click then the power would shut off, then after some random amount of time it would come back on again for a few min.After extensive troubleshooting, I found the evaporator fan was shorting out and causing the main circuit board to power off. Unplugging the j2 connector made it work, but then I lost power to the condenser fan also.I then purchased a different brand fan than this one and found the hard way that it was in fact dead as well and wasn’t spinning. At least this time it wasn’t shorting and causing the entire unit to power cycle.I decided to give it one more shot with this brand and it spun up instantly. I do hear a slight speed ramping noise if I listen closely, but not sure if that’s the fan out of balance or inconsistent power being provided. Either way, I’m happy with this motor and it fixed my dead refrigerator. Given an oem part at a local repair shop was going for $220, I was happy to wait a day for this to arrive (try 2) to give it a shot, and it paid off.If you have a dc evaporator fan on your ge fridge not working, try this one.

Delighted after the repair how much quieter the refrigerator now runs, cools faster than when it was NEW! We always thought this fridge was the noisiest one ever. After 14 yrs my GE PSHS6GRXCDSS had symptoms of being somewhat quieter than usual with strong food odors coming from refrigerator & freezer sides. I discovered most items in the vegetable & meat drawers had frozen, everything in top of freezer had thawed and top half of fridge was cool but not cold. Checked temperature and saw it wasn’t cooling properly. Multiple YouTube videos diagnosed likely cause & repair steps. While disassembled I deep cleaned & sanitized the entire refrigerator including ice maker components, plus condenser and vents front & back. Refrigerator works again and was never this quiet even when it was new! Took a day to carefully disassemble/clean/install using only a couple sockets & 2 screw drivers. Like their listing states, this appears to be a higher quality motor than the original in terms of quiet operation.
