These sets are well made with lots of wonderful things to marvel at. Well worth the purchase price and highly recommended. The one problem I encountered with these sets is the amount of dust particles and huge amounts of fingerprints all over the slides, especially on the specimen focusing area. I would advise this company to keep their production labs much cleaner and have the folks making these slides wear gloves. Infection control, you know? In addition, the sets each had a numerical specimen list (1-100) with slides listed in numerical order; however, the slides were just randomly placed in the box holders with no order to them, and the printed data on the slide labels have no numerical number listed to correspond to the numerical list provided. Not very professional for a Microbiology specimen production facility.Overall extremely pleased with the quality of these slides.

Amazing set for the price. My daughter has spent hours staring at these through her microscope. The cells are visible, the dyes make them clear and easy to see. We've had no problems with these at all. Great for homeschool, or someone like my daughter, who is aspiring to be a vet and is really into science.Arrived perfectly. Great quality.

These sets are unrivaled for sheer number of slides/$. Most are well-prepared and certainly illustrative. You could spend a year studying just one box, and then get the companion PS200B.Mine came packaged with zero protection, and not surprisingly, the contents were all smashed up. I returned it to Amazon and got another one, which was only slightly damaged and easily repaired by gluing the broken wood separators back where they belong. The box hardware was loose; a bit of glue fixed that as well.As reported by others, the slides are filthy, but they are easy to clean with a microfiber cloth. They all have some debris inside the mount, but not too bad at all.Some photograph very well. A few samples show you what's possible.

This is a wonderfully fun set for my children that love to look at things through their microscope. I did choose to remove some of slides for what I felt was age appropriate, but I can add them back as I see fit. E.g. My 9 year old has a rabbit and said she does not want to “see the insides of a bunnyâ€. So I created a “cute box†which stopped any of my kids from being upset. I the box is there if they are interested but then they do not come across anything they do not intend to see. To get the best from this set you need a range of objectives (magnifications). I bought my kids an old Olympus BH2 from a university this was upgrading. So I can truly say that having seen these slides, if you can’t see what is on the slide you may need to upgrade your microscope. Anyway very nice , affordable and well presented. Obviously as your children get older part of the fun is creating your own slides. My only complaint is they are a little on the thin side but I think that is normal.

The variety of slides seems good but they are so dirty, and the barrier between the two sets of slides (within one box) is misglued, so one entire column of slides isn't held together. I'm going to have to disassemble and reglue part of the box for it to have any use.

Incredibly poor quality. The box locks were cheap and broken. I have been teaching Biology for 48 years and these are the worst prepared slides I have ever viewed. The slides were filthy and had to be cleaned before viewing. The specimens were of poor quality, the staining was too little or too much making it difficult to see the organisms structures and the mounting medium was full of debris making viewing very difficult. I was using a high quality professional microscope and observed the slides under all eyepiece and objectives power. AmScope for quality prepared slides? No way.

Well, I just got these slides today and they are amazing! I haven't seen them all yet obviously, but the ones I have are great. Many of them are better than all the ones I've seen in college. The boxes are nice too, everything fits snugly, the hinges work as they should, and there is a complete list of everything in each case. Definitely worth the money!

I have no complaints on this slides. If you are overly picky, then the only complaint you will have is that there is some dirt/dust in the slides, which is expected if they are on display for sale at a store.These are great educational tools for all ages. You can always look online for "labeled parts" if something is not familiar to you. I am studying to become a biologist. Biology is my passion.
