This is about the third time purchasing replacement closets for my Anderson Storm Door. Maybe because it's so heavy with the glass panel, but they break every couple of years. I've attempted to find equivalent closers for less, but have ended up coming back to the Anderson ones because the simply are more sturdy, but they are still expensive!

So recently I had to replace the frame around my storm door which prompted me to purchase a new set of door closers since my old one failed which allowed the wind to yank the door right off the frame one extremely windy day. My old closer would have a bounce to it when closing the door and would not close the door completely. After changing from a single closer unit to a dual setup my door has been sturdy, closes smoothly (and for a single pane glass storm door that's a life saver) and the best part... my door actually closes.The closers are easy to install, the instructions make it fairly simple... a couple screws and you're all set as well as being able to adjust whether you want to close faster or slower. My only complaint is that I am unable to open the door fully (It only opens about 2/3 of the way) but there are pins you can remove for quick access should you need to move furniture or a large item through the door.

We have a very heavy Andersen storm door leading from our kitchen to our deck, which we frequently prop open to let our dogs out. During an extremely windy day, the bottom closure was damaged, which prompted our purchase of this item. We were delighted that the package included a bottom and top closure (there was no top closure originally), which my husband installed in less than an hour. Our door is now extra sturdy, and is not blown back by a strong gust of wind. We are very pleased with this product.

Product is excellent and it was shipped promptly. No instructions for installation were included. It was necessary to go to YouTube for the information. Otherwise I am quite satisfied.
