I bought these for lake paddling in my yaks where they reach out further to get more energy transference. Also, because they're designed for fishing with the notch in the paddle blade, you won't get a lot of water running down the handle as I do paddle all year round.Because they are longer in length, I do not recommend them for rapids paddling, you need a shorter length for that sort of paddling.

I was looking for length and versatility and received both.I have a outlaw kayak that sits me high above the water. I'm 6'1" and this paddle when expanded fully is perfectly long.There are 4 length settings and two angle settings.Great versatilityWorth every penny

Nice paddle, I love the fact that it is adjustable. I can set it for a longer length for use with my fishing kayak as I sit up quite high, and I can set it shorter for my sit in kayak that I use for river running. Also, I am over 6 foot tall. My wife is under 5 foot and by having adjustable paddles it doesn't matter who grabs which paddle.So convenient

Paddle arrived without center section coupler making it unusable. The paddle leash was also missing. Bag was open and item was clearly a returned item that was probably shipped with the missing center section and sent back. Other reviewers have also noted the missing coupler.

I was ecstatic upon opening the box and seeing the paddle, however when attempting to connect the two ends of the paddle I realized it was defective. Not only does each side not allow for them to “connect†there is no release button whatsoever to adjust the lengths even if they were to connect.

My paddle arrived missing the pin, which I'm not sure would help because the 2 pieces don't fit together. I should have read the reviews before purchasing, this seems to be a common theme. Sending back for a refund, I'll buy a different brand

This kayak paddle has three pieces. There's the center shaft which joins the two ends together. The flexibility of this paddle is the fact that you can adjust the length according to your raft and size of paddler. I would say it's fairly lightweight but not the lightest I've used.... Mainly because it's a three piece kayak paddle. This adds a little bit more weight. It's still collapses to a travel Worthy size so it's not too bad. Comes with a measurement guide for angler sizing of fish. I actually bought this for the adjustability because I have different people that I kayak with.... And I needed that adjustment capability but I also have a pelican two-piece kayak paddle which I personally prefer however the pelican paddle does not have any adjustment capability of length.So if you need the versatility of the length adjustment then I say go for it...

Paddle was great but I never received the leash that was part of the deal. Hopefully the supplier will honour the purchase.
