6 month review. The diverter itself works really well, some of the secondary hardware will need to be upgraded for long term use however. The unit itself functions as advertised, and It's easy to clean leaves/pine needles from the inside with its slide panel access. The included plastic "hose" and the clamp that holds said hose are the only negatives. After the 6 months the plastic hose has completely disintegrated and the clamp to hold it has rusted pretty good. So if you are willing to upgrade these aspects of the base unit, this should last for quite awhile.

The included hose started disintegrating after only a few months. Install was simple enough, followed instructions... I really appreciate the debris trap clean out! The door does leak a little bit in heavy rain but hopefully nothing problematic. Worked great at diverting water to my rain barrel. Overall it's a decent design that needs a better quality hose for 5 stars.

I really had no idea. Within 1 decent amount of rain, it filled my rain barrel. I mean, conceptually, I see how this happened, still, worked better than I imagined. I now appreciate being able to shut off the flow to the rain barrel. The leaf filter is also very convenient!

I did what the instructions said to do and it installed very easily. My rain barrel is now full.

Very easy to attach and easy to use. Got this to divert water into my rain barrel and it also makes it so you can have it go down the normal down spout once the rain barrel is full.

There's some good design and functionality here. The "filter" for catching leaves is effective and easy to access. The diverter on/off valve is good too.BUT, the thing leaks. Water comes out the top during heavy rain and through the filter access door all the time. It's not that much (let's call it a constant trickle), but enough that I caulked some spots and drilled some extra holes and 3D printed an internal diverter to lessen the trickle.Probably my biggest annoyance is that the pipe collar clamp for attaching the hose to the diverter is rusting. After a month. ?!?!? That probably should be a red flag for the entire thing. So, yeah. 3 stars cuz it was easy to set up, has some nice features, wasn't too expensive.

I purchased this unit but found the my square downspout would no work and I could not adapt it. Made for 2 x 3" downspout but mine is about 2.62 inches square. I think this is a good design and would work well. The only diverter I found for my square pipe was a 3D printed unit on Etsy. Had to return.

I bought this diverter because I liked the integrated tap, and the idea of the cleaning door. Great concept in theory, but as another reviewer also noted, the cleaning door leaks rather badly. Also, I’m underwhelmed with how little water gets diverted towards my rain barrel, versus the amount that continues to flow down the downspout.I’m now looking to find a different product.

The reason for installing such device is make use of some water for some good purposes. Whoever design it thinks otherwise and make most water go to the drainage.
