I purchased this item in order to transfer a full Micro SD card (128 GB) to a brand new 512 GB SD card that was in a Ninento Switch. I had tried to do so using my old MacBook, but the performance was abysmal, and it ended up not working.I purchased this so I could use the formatter from sdcard.org on my Windows desktop. First thing I noticed as the backup of the old SSD card to my local NVMe drive was a fraction of the time it took to do on my MacBook. The write speed to the new SSD card was equally impressive. And, after doing this, the new card worked flawlessly in the Switch with no data loss.Pros:- SD and MicoSD card supported without having to use an adapter.- Very fast transfer rate.- No software to install (though I recommend using the sdcard.org formatter for microSD cards).Cons:- The cable is not quite long enough. I was using this attached to my "front" (top) mount USB-C port in my case, and it was too short to allow the device to sit level on the top at the very least. Granted, this is very nitpicky for a device that works this good right out of the box.

Easy and simple, reads my card with 80-100% accuracy (My card is 200mb read , it writes around 160-180mb), usb c is common these days so it's easy to find a port.Value is kind of rich pleasure but for a good and efficient SD card reader, needs some sacrifices.Size is small, portable

I bought this to relace a reader that was USB-A, and this one is much, much faster. 256GB of video files takes 6 minutes; with my old reader the same card took 40 minutes.

Docked one star due to the high cost compared to equivalent products from other manufacturers. That said, I am willing to bet the construction will last and this will be a longer-term use item. I agree with other reviews that the transfer speed is excellent compared to my old sd card reader and my multipurpose usb-c hub.

Anker Power Expand 2-in-1 Card ReaderI was copying data from some new, large UHS-II SD cards and it was taking a line time. Much longer than it should have based on the speed of the cards. I realized my card reader might be the problem and ran a little test that proved it was.I bought the Anker reader because I’ve had good luck with their stuff in the past and it had good specs. I’m happy to say it works very well and lets me copy data at the full rated speed of the cards.Oh, it’s tiny, not much bigger than the SD card, and only supports SD and micro SD cards.

I use micro-SSD cards a lot to transport my music around, but my current laptop and desktop didn't come with a built-in card reader, hence this purchase. I didn't need a "hub" with lots of other ports, or pass-through power capability, just something small that I could easily carry around with me. This fits the bill: the cable is a good strong weave, but is short so it will always sit close to your computer. If not using a laptop, it might be an issue on desktop computers, i.e., it will be dangling from the socket. Read speeds are fine. The casing is good, it looks quality and is strong. The unit itself is very slim and can easily slip inside a pocket with minimal bulking. It also works will for in-car audio if you want to use it for that purpose (as I do).
