I LOVE this DVR. It is the 5th CCTV DVR I have owned in the past 15 years and it is far above all the others.SUPER easy to navigate the menus, search motion trips, and playback videos. Very little work to quickly go through all the motion trips. I can go quickly and directly to any period of time down to the second to playback video. Speed up and slow down are simple, plus zoom with the mouse wheel.The human/vehicle detection works like a charm to eliminate false trips, especially at night when there are bugs or bats flying past the cameras. It will still detect larger objects like bears or cats especially if they are closer in. I'm accurately detecting cars driving past my gate 150 feet away with my analog cameras.Although I haven't spent much time with it, the remote software is also simple to install and use. It was all automatic steps to install. I just carefully followed each step on the monitor screen.

Installing this system was easy in regards to the analog cameras. I didn't encounter any problems until I decided to try installing the IP cameras that the system also offers. I bought 2 Annke 5MP cameras that match the DVR model, but they were extremely difficult to install. I reached out to tech support, to which was useless. Don't even bother with their "live chat," they don't even respond to you! I finally figured it out on my own with the help of a YT self-help video.In short, good system- if you don't need any tech support.**Update**Annke did reach out to me again to better the situation. I told them I found a workaround- I installed the cameras via my iphone instead of going through the DVR. The IP cameras have memory slots to record, so it does the same thing, essentially. Customer support offered me a free IP camera as a gesture of goodwill, and I agreed that it was fair deal.

I love how we don’t need a subscription for the features that are provided and for the cameras they’re not the best, but you could always upgrade the cameras to whatever quality you want.

The product looks nice and it might even work well (not sure because I have not been able to use it).I have contacted support through all the methods they offer (phone, email, chat box on website, and created a ticket from their website) and here I am 3 days later with no one answering the calls, chat box always states no agent online, never a reply (automated replies do not count other than knowing they received the email) to my email, and no reply back from the online ticket I created. Yes, I have tried over multiple days to include within their posted hours of operation.If the manufacturer, reseller or whomever sees this and contacts me to resolve the issue (and fixes it) before I send the product back to Amazon, I will remove the 1 Star.I am very disappointed because it really seems like a good product.

I'm taking the time to write this message as the outstanding customer service I received from Ms. Vania with ANNKE was exceptional and beyond compare. I want to thank her for her total commitment and dedication to achieving only the best for her customer's. I was curious as to how I could reduce the use of my DVR recording time to save the hard drive except during motion when detected. That situation was resolved to my satisfaction when I made a decision to proceed with my idea, reaching an amicable resolution. The natural quality Ms. Vania inherently possesses is very rare and should be recognized by her senior management team with a letter of commendation in her personnel file, a possible promotion and pay increase as well with extra vacation days for exemplary, outstanding customer service.
