I saw one of these on a model building youtube channel. i got it for cutting small masking tape circles. assembly can be challenging with the small pieces but what irks me is how easy it was to strip the threads where the blade holder tightens into the nut. should have been metal and not plastic. anyhow it works okay

This cutter is complete garbage! It needed to be modified for the cutter blade to even fit...it doesn't move smoothly and it makes jagged cuts. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, spend the extra 20 bucks and get the DSPIAE entry level cutter

Kinda garbage. Lots of moving parts that tend to fall out. Adjusting blade is cumbersome and it's not the sharpest.

let me start by saying that this does exactly what its supposed to do, and very well. make circles perfectly. that being said, its all plastic frame is absolutely its downfall. the adjustment to add or remove pressure from the cutting blade is fiddly at best. the blade carrier moves when locking the measurement adjustment screw down due to its plastic construction, making it difficult to obtain the desired cut. the measurement increments are only displayed by the exact millimeter with raised plastic the same color as the plastic housing. this will not achieve a precision cut for say masking a landing gear wheel in 1/48 scale without having to constantly fiddle with the adjustment to get the desired circumference. if youre looking for a tool to do precision work under 1 mm, this is not that tool.

Don't waste your money. It shreds thin paper and wont cut through thicker paper. It is horrendously difficult to get the small pieces together and then they keep falling off. This is trash...
