This was an exact replacement for an AO Smith water heater, blower prover switch (9004586215). The switch has a normally open contacts that closes when the blower air pressure gets above 1" H2O. The failure was due to the switch having a 1000 ohm reading across the contacts when the blower motor was off. The reading should have been at least 1 meg ohms. This low reading caused the controller to think that the blower was already on and gave you an "Out of Sequence" alarm and not allow the heater to come on. This switch failed after only 4 months and 6 days. I went to the sellers sight for warranty information but was unable to find any. I purchased another switch from New H-Mac Systems web sight for $90.42 and free shipping today.
