I filter my tap water to get rid of most of the TDS (total dissolved solids). Despite frequent cleanings, the plastic pitcher left an unpleasant taste and smell, so I decided to get a glass pitcher. This one is working out great! The size and footprint is convenient, as I keep it right on the counter. The glass seems thick and durable. I would not hesitate to purchase it again if I decide I want a second one. The description states that the pitcher is not for hot liquids, but that is not a concern for me.

I underestimated the size I thought it was going to be bigger than it is a little disappointing for me. I like to boil my water out the faucet for my grands(3 of them) and let it cool and let them drink the water because I just don’t trust the faucet water and this is really not big enough to make a lot of water for them for a couple days.

It has a great design and can fit in the door or shelf in the refrigerator but I found it extremely heavy and was afraid I would drop it on the glass in the refrigerator and break a shelf. I can’t imagine how much heavier it would be if it was filled. I decided to return it for fears that I would drop it. Glass is nice and think and will last !
