Whole house filter with good micron rating, pleated style had plastic end caps although they help center the filter in the unit they are still plastic which we are trying to avoid. These are plain end without plastic and work fine. Individually sealed.When installing take care to properly center in the can before tightening, any resistance screwing the can on, means its not centered.
