I use this fish hideaway in an Aqueon MiniBow 1 aquarium for five small goldfish. It's small. The simulated cave, consequently, helps to destress them. Mine began to explore it about two hours after they were put in the tank.Goldfish grow, tear up plants, and get messy (AKA They poop a lot). Large tanks are suggested. This setup uses a water filter and an air stone to compensate. Later, a timer for the LED light will lower the risk for algae buildup.Find a design that looks good and works for your aquarium. The hideaway will be worth the investment.

Love the look of this hide a rock. It’s a perfect size and my fish seems to enjoy it as well. It is easy to clean and has no super rough edges. It is definitely high-quality.

Affordable, of solid construction, and a great size for our betta! No rough or sharp parts that his fins could catch on. Works well in our small tank (just under a gallon).

I wanted to update to say that no fish perished upon putting these in the tanks. My bettas love them. I am going to buy another - my dremel is ready. If you have the ability to smooth the edges or have fish that won't get their fins snagged these are great. If I didn't have a dremel I would not able to use these and that's really a shame because the fish like them and they look great.I read the reviews and knew if there were sharp edges I could dremel them. indeed there were quite a bit of sharp edges on the interior rims of the holes. I shouldn't have to correct that but I didn't mind. Until I got to second rock. There were sharp edges all inside, some of which the dremel could not reach.I also read about fish dying. So I soaked these in a bucket for a few days. No changes in water parameters. They look nice in the tanks. We will see what the fish think. Should any fish mysteriously turn up dead I will update the review, but I don't expect that to happen.This would have been a 5 star review if the manufacturer would take care of the sharp edges which seems like it wouldn't be that hard.

It's perfect for my betta, it's got a rough texture like a natural rock would but it's not sharp enough to harm his scales or fins which is great. Made it into a little cave and be loves it already.

Was looking for something like this for our small fish tank for a while. I ordered it not sure what to expect and its perfect. It fits in our small tank perfectly and our Beta fish loves swimming and hiding out in it. Would highly recommend.

It's not a good size for a cichlid at all. I do have 8cm + fish but the cave is too tiny even for a small one. Maybe a baby but why would you bother since they'll grow so quickly. I've order another set of caves similar but I'm praying they are bigger or the whole expense is not worth it at all. Why can't they make them bigger? Cave dwelling fish tend to be the size mine are in their maturity so it's sensible
