Used this for a pond less water feature, worked as advertised, easy to put together and very strong, will be using more in the future

I ordered this item to covert a pond/ stream to just an endless stream. Easy to put together and very sturdy! I read that some say it only goes one way, but per instructions you should have all 6 sides of the box supported. So, it doesn’t matter what side you place the box, just make sure your hole is snug, then used large heavy rock around it to secure the box. I was happily surprised it came with geotextile fabric too! The fabric was placed directly underneath the box and the RDPM rubber liner; original fabric is under the liner itself. Photo shows unfinished project before filling it with 2â€-3†rock.

Great price for lots of water storage. I built a large stream with only 2 small aqua blocks for water storage, and I would run through half of it in a day just to evaporation and splash-out.Purchased two of these and tripled my water capacity.Very sturdy and well made like the smaller ones. Does the job for a very reasonable price.

Got them quick. No instructions but fairly intuitive. I got two large and three small. They assemble together easy enough. One thing to watch, and I suspect the cause of many to complain about broken tabs, is if you tap the verticle side pieces on with the base on top, with tabs on the floor, they could break. Just need to be careful not to put pressure on tabs while assembling. Of all five boxes, only one tab was partially cracked on delivery, which was no big deal. No tabs broke during assembly.I got these for a reservoir for a pondless waterfall. They are simply, sturdy, mostly empty voids in which water can be stored for a water pump. You could just use rocks, but they would take up more space and lessen the amount of water in the resevoir. Once I put them in my reservoir hole, I have walked on them, carrying a hundred pound boulder to boot. They did creak occasionally, but seem strong enough.I gave it a four star instead of five because the openings could be smaller to prevent gravel from entering them. Not sure why I should have to buy more material to cover them to prevent this. I will cover the tops with a screening material of some kind to prevent small gravel pieces from entering them although most of the stones I use will be big enough to not go through the openings.

The first set of aquablox arrived damaged. After a phone call Apex worked with me and sent me replacements. They were easy to talk too. As far as the aquablox, they appear to be sturdy after assembled. They claim to be able to support over 5000 pounds per square foot. I will be testing that claim because my design will have some large rocks sitting on their edge.

I converted an 3500 lbs cement pond with water fall and bird bathes into a pondless waterfall. The Aquascape AquaBlox are very sturdy, and make it very easy to provide an underground (under rock) water storage capability out of the sun's rays and prevent algae growth. I'm very happy with how they went together, how they function and how sturdy they are to hold 1-2 tons of rock..

I've seen some aquablox that shouldn't have passed QA. Looked like a problem where some of the holes didn't get exactly punched out right, which is kind of important. I ordered two small aquablox and they are perfect. Sure don't see how they'll hold any water though, they is full of holes all over the place.

The description lists the dimensions and water capacity of the two AquaBlox but doesn't provide the details about the proper orientation of the boxes to provide the best load bearing capacity. With the large size blox, prepare to excavate an extra 8 inches deep (33.5'' deep in total) for your basin AND purchase an optional vault extender for the Pondless Waterfall Vault. I decided to return mine and bought 5 small aquablox from my local, friendly landscaping retailer instead. Make sure you're ordering the right one for your project!
