Easy to install and quiet and hopefully it lasts a good few years.

Easy to install. Programming is not a problem if you follow the manual. Super quiet. Only issue I have is you cannot change the speed if you have it programmed. Such as when you need to clean or waste. It will only run at the set speed.

Heavy duty pump to replace an older 1hp pump! Very exciting! This is one heavy duty pool pump! The pump basket lid seals very well and comes with a neat little tool to help opening/closing the lid. The pump does have a timer, which is a great feature. It also comes with both 1.5" & 2" inlet & outlet adapters to connect to your pool piping. I'll update this review once installed, in the spring. It will be replacing an older pool pump so I'll be interested to see how well it works, especially with the variable speed. The pump seems extremely well built and is very heavy.

High quality pump with a nice display and control panel, worked great to replace our old worn out pump. I honestly didn't know just how bad a shape the old pump was in until we switched it out for this one.

This pump is extremely well made with strong components and quality electronics. You can program this to run for set amounts of time and even keep track of power usage. The screen and controls are easy to read and operate, making this a good product for anyone. Assembly is not a difficult task, it is just basic wiring skills and grounding. The noise levels vary depending on which output setting is being used, but if this is placed in an enclosed pumphouse or shed, it is hardly noticeable. This pump draws an incredible amount of water, and in its current application, is being used to filter a nearly 10,000 gallon koi pond with great efficiency. Unlike some other pumps previously used, the start up process on this pump is far more reliable, and the capacitor has no trouble whatsoever with ensuring efficient and consistent start ups. This pump is heavy and well balanced, it currently rests on a concrete pad and had no obnoxious vibration sounds when running. The basket is easy to clean out and the heat buildup is minimal. Overall, while the price may seem high, this pump does indeed exceed every expectation in simplicity and performance. If you need a powerful pump that can move huge volumes of water, don't settle for a cheaper product that overheats and underperforms. The listed price of this pump is absolutely indicative of quality in this instance. An extremely well earned 5 star product that exceeds expectations and beats the competition in every measurable way. Absolutely love this pump!!

I bought the pump because my existing 20-year old pump was starting to show cracks in the casing and it was leaking. I had the pump professionally installed. The pump is programmable, you can use up to four different speeds, each with it's own schedule when to start and end. The programming is pretty simple, and once it is set it runs with the built-in clock, so you don't need to have an external time source. The 2HP motor is strong enough for my pool, with a three foot wide waterfall and two water fountains. This pump is obviously from China, and my installer warned me that it may not last long. There are no usable instructions or manual included, so you have to figure that out. The control panel is pretty intuitive, it has a start and stop button, and it has four speed buttons you use for programming, or instant speed setting. However, where it gets complicated is when you manually stop or start, it seems to ignore your programs. Once it is back on the program, then it functions as you expect.I had an incident when my water level ran low while I was away for three weeks. The neighbor called and told me the pump was making extremely load noise that he could hear from within his house. The pump is supposed to stop automatically when there is no water flow, but in this case it apparently didn't. Other than that it has been doing what it should.

I had been waiting for my pool guy to install this 2 HP variable speed pool pump for me when he had the time (since the previous pump was working alright - even if less efficiently - so I had said it was lower priority), and after he had the chance to install it and tell me his thoughts about it, I was able to formulate this brief review with both his observations during and post installation as well as my own during operation of it.From what I've noticed, this pump (in comparison to a previous 1-speed Hayward one) runs quite smoothly and more quiet, and I'm quite happy that it can be programmed to use variable speeds for greater power efficiency (and to make it even more quiet). From what my pool guy said, it was certainly more simple and easier to program as compared to the previous pump, and I was also able to take a look and determine how to change the schedule and pump speeds since I was curious about that.Overall, this has been a great replacement pool pump and I've been happy with it so far!

This pump is VERY loud. It sounds like something is rattling inside the motor or impeller. All of the fittings are not a direct replacement for your standard Pentair or equivalent. This pump is longer and the fittings are much larger. I had to replumb my whole system just to fit this pump including the check valve. I had to spend a couple hundred dollars and spend the afternoon redoing just about everything on the inlet side. The outside was also quite scratched up and there was water stains on the cover. Looks used. If you’re not comfortable replumbing your filter or are looking for a plug and play replacement/quick fix, this isn’t the pump for you. Now that it’s installed, we will see how long it lasts or how long I can stand the noise.
