This is a great 2 pack of welding blankets that I am using for at home projects. While I am typically doing short welds, sometimes those sparks do what they want to do. These blankets have been perfect for covering my other tools/items in the vicinity of my welding/grinding without me having to reorganize my work area for every project. These blankets are heavy, well made, and have so far kept my surroundings clean and spark free.

When it comes to welding, safety is a top priority, and I’ve learned firsthand that using the right equipment can make all the difference. The ARCCAPTAIN Welding Blanket is the largest welding blanket I own, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my collection. I acquired it specifically for use in less controlled environments, especially when I’m working with materials that may contain solvents or other harmful substances. This blanket is exactly what I need for protecting both my surroundings and myself from the risks associated with welding in open spaces or near flammable materials. This blanket measures 4x6 feet, and it covers a significant area—almost 25 square feet—which is exactly what I need when I’m working on larger projects, like welding something on an open car hood compartment or performing work in an outdoor environment surrounded by dry brush. While I normally use smaller blankets for more targeted coverage, this one provides ample protection without requiring a lot of thought or additional positioning. The size is ideal for situations where I need to quickly and effectively shield a larger area. The material of the blanket is made of heavy-duty fiberglass, and it’s impressively durable. It can withstand very high temperatures, making it perfect for high-heat welding projects. I’ve used it in situations where sparks and molten metal could easily cause a fire, and it’s done an excellent job of keeping my work area safe. The weave of the fabric is very tight and seems resistant to wear, even after repeated use. The weight of the blanket (around 5 pounds) gives it a substantial feel, and you can tell it’s made to last. While it’s not the lightest blanket around, I think the sturdiness and the added protection it provides more than make up for it.One feature I really appreciate is the inclusion of grommets around the edges. These allow me to easily suspend the blanket vertically when needed, or even stake it to the ground if I’m working on a site where I need to keep it secure. It’s versatile, and the grommets are robust enough that I’m confident they will hold up to the demands of a welding job. I’ve used this blanket to protect surfaces and create barriers in various situations, and it’s been incredibly reliable.Though I tend to stick with smaller blankets for most of my tasks, I’m glad I invested in this larger size. It’s been a great tool for those jobs where I need to ensure maximum protection and coverage. The quality is excellent, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have a reliable safety measure in place. Even if I don’t need another blanket of this size, I wouldn’t hesitate to look for more products from ARCCAPTAIN for other welding-related needs. This blanket has been a valuable addition to my setup, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a robust, heat-resistant solution for welding projects.

This welding blanket is made from a good heavy material and has held up well. it is great to protect things from sparks when welding and grinding. it is soft enough to cover paint without worries of causing damage.

Very nice heavy duty blanket. It's quite thick, and feels sturdy. The grommets are brass and feel like they are attached well. The stitching feels a bit on the weaker side, so time will tell if they hold well. No residue whatsoever, no dust or fiberglass particles. Tested with TIG, FCAW, and angle grinder sparks and works flawlessly. I'd very much recommend it!

Ordered this Welding Blanket 4'x 6' - Heavy Duty Fiberglass 1022 °F Heat Resistant Fabric Welding Blanket for my small shop. In the past I've always used an old canvas tarp to try and protect other items, gas tank areas, hoods and things I didn't want burned from hot sparks when welding. Recently, while shopping online for some welding tips, I saw this welding blanket 4' x 6' made of heavy duty fiberglass material and after reading about how it's made and that it protects objects up to 1,022 degrees and ordered it. Hats off to the Mfg for making such a good quality welding blanket. It has solid brass grommets for hanging it up in needed areas for protection. The material is good and thick and will last me certainly a lifetime. It's tough and welding sparks doesn't faze it. It also has high Silica fiber and makes it fireproof. The tight woven material not only protects objects, it's made for durability and long lasting for years of use. Happy with order

I'm new to welding and one thing that makes me nervous about the process is all the sparks it creates especially since I do my welding outside and live in an area that is really dry prone to fires in the summer months. So when I saw this welding blanket on Amazon I thought it would be great to have on for a bit of protection from molten metal spatter, sparks and falling hot slag. The blanket is really heavy and the fiberglass fabric is tightly woven and it feels like it would be capable of providing a lot protection from all the hot material that is ejected while welding. The aluminum grommets are handy for hanging the blanket where I need to create a protective barrier. I also find the blanket to be handy when I'm grinding to contain the sparks and limit the spread of debris in my shop.
