I bought these not for our surfboards (because we live in Michigan and don’t own surfboards), but to be able to tie our big, collapsible dog crate up top without scratching my roof (OR the crate). These worked great!They were very easy to install — just wrap around the cross bars and make sure the Velcro is smushed together. After that, they’re very secure (and seem to be really well made).One thing that worked out better than I expected was getting them around the towers of my roof rack. I was considering cutting these, but wanted to avoid that if possible.I just opened the Velcro around the towers, and closed it back up. There was enough give that this worked with no issues.This was just what I wanted, to avoid having to doctor some pool noodles or whatever.

Arya Life 28" Aero Car Roof Rack Pads appear to be well built of durable materials. The only complaint that I have is that they fit too loosely on my Dodge Caravan roof racks due to lack of adjustment. I had to add an additional Velcro strip so that the flaps could wrap tightly enough for the pads to stay securely in place. See the added white Velcro strip shown above in my photos. Without the added Velcro the overlap is too much when trying to wrap the flaps tightly around my racks resulting in a large portion of the wrap just flapping in the breeze. Otherwise, I like the aerodynamic design very much as I can leave them in place without negatively affecting my gas mileage.

They seem well made, with sturdy material, and fit the wide aero bars on my new car well. I use them for a sit-on-top plastic kayak. We'll see how log they hold up over time.

I just added these to my roof rack the other day to see if it would cut down on some of the noise the rack bars produce when driving on the highway. So far it seems to have done the trick as I'm no longer hearing an occasional whistle or rattling up top from the wind hitting the bars.The foam itself isn't really thick enough to hold up a heavy kayak but it's definitely thick enough for paddleboards or surfboards.Will update this review in the future if the pads come unattached or if the exterior tears.
