How To Install Your Surfboard Truck Rack

Place the Pad on Tailgate
Put pad on the middle of your tailgate, with the buckles hanging off the back.
Hang the straps into the truck's bed.

Thread Straps Through Tailgate
Thread straps between the tailgate and the truck bed, then thread through buckles and pull tight.
(Might be easier with tail gate slightly or fully lowered)

Lay Surfboard In Truck
Lay surfboard on pad, with nose of board touching the front wall of the truck bed.
Use a towel or Ho Stevie! Surf Poncho to protect the nose of your surfboard.

Buckle the Strap
Place the strap over surfboard, push the buckle with your thumb to open it, and thread the strap through the buckle.

Pull the Strap
Pull tight from one strap while holding down your surfboard.

Pros:- keeps board(s) secure and safe- doesn't scratch the truck- easy enough to install- very compact- makes no noise (I had the ones that go on the roof that were hella loud)Cons:- a bit expensiveOverall still a great product and would buy again!

Keeps my board secure on the highway, and I really like that the straps do not damage the board because they are rubber/ silicon coated. Super heavy duty and feels like it will last a lifetime. Thank you HO STEVIE!

Love this. Kept my board from sliding around or flying out at highway speeds. I have a tool box in the bed of my truck and the nose of the board rested on it. Still worked.

This thing is great. The silicon buckle covers are an awesome addition. I use it on a 2022 Tacoma and although the tailgate is wide up top the cover works excellent. Just wish that the loose strays had Velcro like my leash to keep the loose ends from flapping in the wind. Highly recommend this product.

I thought it would be slightly larger and come down more on both sides but you can see in the pictures the 2016 F150 tailgate is pretty thick. I'm assuming some other trucks or smaller trucks have a thinner tailgate. Anyway it still protects my surfboard and keeps it from sliding so it does what it's advertised to do.
