It's a nice little meter. Make sure you read the instructions. And it's tiny print, so if you need them, get your cheaters on.My ONLY gripe is that it overhangs the back of the camera by about 1.2". (See pictures on listing) This would only be a problem if your view finder is under the flash shoe. It can make it difficult to see the whole frame without removing the unit. AND .. if I have to remove it, I might as well be using a hand held meter.Otherwise, it looks very natural on my 1962 Agfa Silette 1.But, I'll hang onto it, I like shooting old cameras from the 50s and early 60s. I've others this can go onto. I might be able use a hotshot riser.

I really enjoyed using AstraHori XH-2 light meter until the button went "soft" then wiggled and quit functioning all together. That happened 2 months after I bought it. Now it is a small paper weight. I looked inside and the "switch" inside broke off from the circuit board and was rattling around. Astrahori -- bad engineering. Small reinforced backer for the "switch" would solve the problem, because I really liked this little meter.

This is a stellar little meter. It's form factor is unbeatable, you really don't even need to use it primarily mounted to a hot shoe, I've been regularly using it as my primary meter for a variety of older cameras in my collection and it's worked perfectly so far. It's pretty easy to get a hang of once you've read the manual, but the manual is small and easily pocketable so you could also just take it out with you and figure it out as you go along (it's not that complicated). The other biggest benefit to this light meter is that it's USB-C rechargeable, so no more having to make sure you carry extra batteries for your old Sekonic.

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS OR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER'S - When you get deeper into photography like me, you get into the "why" and "how" gadget's that help you take better pictures. The XH-2 helps you get the right exposure, correct aperture and shutter speed, etc., for the perfect picture. The XH-2 Camera Light Meter, you're about to purchase, is a reflective photography meter, very similar to what's in an automatic camera, except the automatic camera sets it all up for you, and you take a perfect photograph. On the other hand, the purpose of the XH-2 is to help you find the perfect setting when using the "M" mode (Manual Mode) in today's modern cameras, especially for art or professional photography. Use the XH-2 with old manual film camera's for the best results. The XH-2 comes with 0.66" OLED display screen, USB-c cord for its USB-c port (30min to fully charge), Full charge lasts 10 hours. Comes with a detailed (need magnification to read) instruction manual. The XH-2 measurers 1" 3/4 x 1" - Weighty and solid, made of seemingly aluminum or stainless steel. Solid construction.Purchase with confidence - Nora's Hubby - John

I like the build quality but I wish it was easier to navigate through the settings. it's very hard to remember how to change the ISO, so I have to check the manual often. The main problem here is that the readings are completely wrong...my old cameras with built-in light meters and my smartphone light meter app gives the same readings but this thing shows very wrong numbers.for example: If my phone says 1/50 this light meter will show 1/300.Maybe I received a damaged/defect unit? Because most reviews seems to say that it's all correct...
