So far the light meter is accurate with almost identical results with my other light meter.The design is not the best but not the worst. It is a little slick and a little awkward when recording your readings. I like the design of the meter itself. Its forward design allows you to see the readings at the same time. It gives you the same function as one that detached.The temperature has to be reset each time you turn it off and back on. That needs to be changed.Overall I like it very much and it makes keeping plants in the right light easy.

First off the included batteries were corroded even though they were still wrapped in plastic, so I didn't use them. To change the temp from C to F you have to use a awl or something similar, It broke the first time i tried changing it and the only reason I realized it was because when I turned it back on it had reset itself back to Celsius. Do not waste your money buying this cheap POS it's like all other mass produced junk.

I’ve been setting up potted indoor plants with grow lights and each grow light is a different brand. But they all share one thing in common – they don’t really give their lux ratings for their settings. They just say stuff like “cactus†or “low light†but each one’s idea of what low light is turns out to be completely different lux ratings!So this tool is helping me quite a bit in that department. I can learn what the lux requirements are for my plant, then test each grow light’s different settings to find the one that has an output closest to the plant’s requirements. So far, my plants are thriving better, and I feel more secure that I’m taking good care of them.I have one issue with this meter though. Every time it powers down or I turn it off, it resets the temperature preference to Celsius. Then I have to open the back panel, find my paperclip, and reset it to Fahrenheit every single time I use it. That’s annoying, so I took a star off for that and lowered the value for money rating based on that.

I bought this to detect how much light was leaking through my blackout be-curtained bedroom shades. This thing isn't sensitive enough to detect light leaks that are easily apparently to the naked eye. Maybe it's good for lighting designers or photographers, but you've been warned if you want it for something more delicate than that.

The readings on this meter are pretty close to an older one that I've had for a while now. This one updates about three times faster though so it seems like it's much more responsive. The magnetic back is a nice feature for holding it in position while you make changes to the light source.One downside to this design is that it has round sides and you can't stand it up vertically on a flat surface. So you either have to hold it by hand or attach it to something metal if you want to measure light from directly above.The ambient temperature (C/F) related readings are something that I don't really need, but note that you have to change these modes by pressing a recessed button under the battery cover, and the setting only lasts as long as the device is powered up. It defaults back to reading Celsius and Lux when powered back on. It seems odd to me that they would provide this feature, make it inconvenient to change, and then not save the settings between power cycles.Overall, this works really well though and I think provides good value for the price.

Ich habe mir dieses kleine Gerät für mein Home-Office zugelegt. Ich wollte schauen , ob ich eine optimale Beleuchtung in meinem Arbeitszimmer habe.Aufgrund des Magneten ist eine Anbringung sehr leicht.Das Display zeigt außerdem noch die Temperatur an.Verarbeitung ist auch top, keine Kanten oder Einschlüsse.
