This is a very high quality anodized aluminum adapter that has filter threads at the bottom for 0.965" telescope filters. This eliminates marks on your eyepiece barrel. Nice large thumbscrew that is easy to turn even in very cold conditions or with gloves on.
The all-metal structure and anodized aluminum process are not easy to scratch and are durable.

No idea what the other reviewer was complaining about - I just received it and the fit and finish are first rate, it's a perfect fit in my focusers, and a perfect fit for my 0.965 accessories. It's also much cheaper than the alternatives. I have ordered numerous Astromania items and they are good quality, functional accessories.

It works great for my vintage C90 telescope.One reviewer mentioned focusing issues, I have yet to try. I will update my review when I do.Until I try it, I am happy with it.

I used this to work with a laser collimator it worked fine my scope is .965 and the laser is 1.25.I bought this thinking it would be a quick fix but my focuser bottoms out before reaching focus. After I bought it I noticed the description said it worked with accessories but didn't mention eyepieces not coming into focus . Maybe they should.

This is clearly a high quality precise product; no concerns there. But it doesn't fit the SkyWatcher Star Adventurer. The Star Adventurer polar scope is 1.135 inches at the tube and 1.178 inches at the adjustable optic. The inside diameter of this adapter is 1.25" which is so big that the set screw won't reach the tube even when it's screwed in all the way. This can be overcome with a couple layers of double sided Velcro around the tube. But this adapter also pushes the finder about an inch away from the polar scope optic, which at right angle viewfinder magnification 1X makes the scope dial image barely legible. The polar scope image is not legible at right angle viewfinder magnification of 2X. Finally, on the other end, the Neewer Perfect right angle viewfinder includes an adapter that almost fits, but the threads are a different size and you can't get more than one thread screwed into the threaded small end of the Astromania adapter.

Fast shipping. Quality product, well machined, perfect fit,smooth as velvet. Set screw to lock eyepiece works as it should. Will allow me to use a couple .965 eyepieces that were worth saving, with my new scope. Also will serve as a webcam adapter prime focus astrophotography.
