Astromania 2-Inch Telescope Eyepiece Extension Tube Adapter provide extra focuser back travel sometimes needed to achieve focus with certain eyepiece or telescope combinations. More back travel is often needed for short-range terrestrial viewing or with use of a field flattener, coma corrector, or focal reducer lens. Extension tube provides extra focuser "back travel" often needed for short-range terrestrial viewing through a telescope, or for astrophotographic applications.

After ordering several 2 inch extension tubes to try and fit my Q70 eyepiece to focus properly on my XT8, this one fits perfectly and properly focuses the eyepiece. Before I had to pull the eyepiece out slightly in order to get it to focus so this extension tube helped me have some more piece of mind about it not being able to fall out of the focuser.

This was exactly what the doctor ordered… The last extender I bought was too long. I bought it because I couldn’t focus out enough to get a sharp image. Unfortunately that extender (2â€) had exactly the opposite effect. It was so far out that I couldn’t focus in enough! This one is perfect!I guess I’ll save the other one for when I start doing Astrophotography.

This 2" extension tube is basic but well made, clean black anodized finish, non-marring internal collar. Astro mania logo is silkscreened to the side. Fits my focuser w/o fighting but not too loose. Had a problem with the first order (box crushed, light damage during shipping) Vendor stepped up immediately and sent another quickly - Absolutely STELLAR VENDOR SUPPORT from Astromania!!

If your looking for an extension tube, this one is of great value for the money. I use various brands of extension tubes, some of which cost a lot more, and have had no issues with this model compared to the others. I use it for both visual and photography.

I remounted the telescope focuser for prime focus photography. To switch from prime focus back to eyepiece, I needed an extension tube that was shorter than the standard 2" extension tube. This unit worked out perfect, just what I needed. Thanks.
