Badly over-priced for a fitting but the unique thread Gen IV & Gen V motors use means you're stuck with whatever they want to charge.

Auto Meter 2278 Metric Adapter/Electric Temperature purchased Feb 2024. Could not find any other solution for what i needed for ecotec oil pressure line feed. read reviews of fittings breaking, and complaints of no torque spec provided. Well i read the directions that came with it and they did have a max torque of 25ft lbs so i set my wrench to 20 ft lbs and maybe made it half way, not even close to 20 and it cracked like a twig. sent back. ended up making mine own out of an M12 x 1.75 bolt that i drilled and taped to 1/8" NPT on lathe. avoid. even if you get it to seal at such a low torque and avoid cracking it, i wouldn't trust it on the side of an engine holding my oil pressure in.

The instructions say not to overtighten. Do NOT ignore these! It would be nice if torque specs were included to ensure this doesnt happen. I had to order another one, but it was nice while it lasted.

The threads of the adapter snapped off in engine oil cooler. This caused a lot of undue work and headache. I would not try this junk again if they gave it to me.

An odd size to find anywhere in store. I used it to install and oil pressure sensor for a gauge, and it works perfectly with no leaks.

The picture and "description" for this adapter are ABSOLUTELY misleading;This is a small brass adapter - not steel.The actual dimensions are:29mm width (hex head) x 23.68mm length.Autometer part #2278.:)

I used it for an oil temperature sensor adapter from npt to my block and other than having to drill it out so the hole was a bit bigger it worked well.Be careful if you're going to be taking it in an out because the crush washer is hollow inside and can't be reused like some others.Also be careful because it doesn't like to go in that tight or it snaps, bit of a pain.
