Follow instructions for adhesion of light strip starting from edges working your way to the center of the light strip and then for the bug deflector starting from center working your way to both sides and it will install very easily. They give a black foam block to make the wire blend away Into the hood deflector as it routes inside the hood at the edge. It is hardly noticeable. Even if you do find it it looks part of the hood deflector and has a clean factory oem look.I did also leave the light strip un wound and straightened with some light books placed on top of the light strip for a few days before install. I would also recommend not to drive for a day or two for the adhesive automotive 3M tape to properly stick to the hood. I also put automotive grade wire tapes to make it looks factory and got slimmer profile wire clips to put under the hood to keep the wire in place.It looks amazing once installed. I ended up choosing a Quadratec DRL adapter and wired it to it and it turns on anytime the engine is on. Looks great during the day and night. The wiring was the most fun part of the install as you have lots of choices in the wrangler JL especially if you have aux switches of how you want to control it. By splicing into the DRL it makes the install look super clean and removes the guess work for me!

I had recently wrote a review about how much I like these bug guards. This is my third one. However, this is the first one that did not fit flush against the hood. There is about a half inch gap all the way across.Because of the gap, I would not count on the tape , as I did before, to secure the shield. I wound up having to use the four screws.It does still look good and is functional though.

Not the best picture but so be in. This will keep the rock chips off the front and add just a little protection for the window, they look great and have used AVS bug deflector on all my trucks and I think they look great and work effectively

It looks better than without it and will stop rocks on the front of thr hood but the Pic showed more of a lip going up to deflect the rocks this didn't have it.I used exta 3m thicker tape around the edges and a heat gun on low to help bond and mold the plastic down to the jeep hood, as others have stated it does stick up a bit (well did). So far it has worked well and it a nice addition without drilling into the vechile. The color matches my black jeep so it blends In well till you are up close.Plastic is sharp so might want to sand a little before install to avoid cutting fingera as I did. BUT the price was great and the thickness of the front guard is a lot better than other deflector/ guards. For this it gets 4 stars.Pro, easy to install no drillingCons does require a little more work Tha. Other guards I have used in the past to fitNo lip to deflect rocks as shown, or very very min.Edit 6/14/2021Bug deflector came off driving dow. The road, this thing is good but bit great which depends on how you drive and what speeds. I hate drilling into the hood so I thought this would be better, but my last one on my Jeep JK had an u det lip that held the hood. This doesn't and over time shall come up. I recommend looking else where, not even 4 months with this....

Fits nicely and looks good but arrived with some scratches on it. Not pleased about it on a brand new truck but not worth my hassle to return it either.

The manual says to avoid brush-type automatic car washes, but so far, no issues. After putting this on, I drove through a light rain and my hood stayed dry as long as I kept moving. This will go a long way to keep my hood bug and chip free. Really easy to install and looks great.
